Sapphires

The rare material trader doesn't even have them in stock....so how much are they worth? And oh yea i would like to say WOOOT on the shard prices jumping up!!!

I've seen people selling for 15K and up, which is rediculous. There is no use for sapphires or rubies in Prophecies or Factions. I suspect that some one, or group, is trying to dictate the market. Don't be surprised to see rumors floating around the forums soon about some mysterious crafter or some such nonsense.

And why do they have crafting materials taht do nothing? Lol

There were a lot more material that had no use until Factions was released. Chapter three is only a fewonths away. Might be a use for them then. Market speculation can be quite entertaining.

As far as crafting materials that do nothing, it's been that way for a while. I imagine eventually they will find a use for them.

Lasher, just for that post I think you should go and tame a bear as a pet. Then start challenging warriors to take it on bare-handed (or maybe with a starter sword).

If you spend a little time early in the morning in marhans there is a group of players that call themselves the illuminati. One of them showed me over 900 ecto and 600 a piece rubies and saphires. He informed me that other members had even more and when they felt like a little change they would flood the market with them. I have personally seen people at granite with hundreds upon countless hundreds of rubies saphires shards and ecto. These are the people that controll the marked for the most part.

If I had money, I would stock up on Rubies and Sapphires just for the hell of it. They must have a use at some point, whether it be in chapter 3, 4 or 7

Actually they don't. There are a lot of players with that much and more. A group of 10-20 will have little impact on a game played by a million or so.

I have some sapphires and saw that the trader didn't have them in stock. I, thinking they must be in huge demand, decided to see what the trader would pay for them so I hit "Request Quote." It was a whopping 250g. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed. So, rather than sell them for such a low price, I'll wait around for Ch. 3. Maybe they'll be worth something then.

Yeah...stupid and pointless. Some people are forgeting this is just a PC game, pixels on screen. Really fun and good game,but still just a game.
Well, maybe is better to cure your frustrations and life failures online than taking drugs or becoming a mass murder.
