locked skills?

hi, i've got factions since 1 week, i've tried to play both pve and pvp with a prebuild liv20 char, then i've tried other pvp prebuild chars but i've noticed a serious problem... both the necros have 2 skill locked, they appear transparent and I can't use them (for example I can make bone demons but can't make bone horrors, but I do have both skill in the 8 chosen!), the G/m gave me the same problem on 3 skills! it seems all prebuilt pvp chars except of my first one have got locked skills and if I go at balthazaar priest that skills aren't on the list (suppose cause I already got them) so I can't even unlock them with gained balthazar points.
is it a known problem? how do i solve it?

do you have the original GW campaign (prophecies) ?

Animate Bone Horror is a prophecies-only skill, you need the prophecies campaign linked to your account to be able to use it.

that would explain why they do not appear at the priest of balthazar : your account does not have access to the skills (mind yhou, both locked and unlocked skills appear at the priest)

yeah i don't have... but i've not understood, I simply can't unlock and use them? have I got to buy phropecies to have all the skills for pvp? :/

Hey, this helps explain why I could not find certain Mesmer skills, I have
one ch.1 account and two ch. 2 accounts, I created a mesmer on the
"unlinked" account and then I could not find certain skills I had been wanting
to try-out. Was confusing on what was going on, but is this kind of an unfair
advantage for ch. 1 ppl ???
Or has anet created similar skills for ch.2 to replace them ??

There is a set of "core" skills that are available to both Prophecies and Factions.

There are some skills that only players who have Propehecies installed will have access to.

There are some skills that only players who have Factions installed will have access to.

Your character will have access to "all" skills "only" if you have both Propehecies and
Factions installed and "linked".

ok.. but why they did that prebuilt pvp config if i can't use them ? -_- only A/W is good.. cause it has only A skills :P

I was wondering the same thing. The only thing I could think of was
so you could see that those skills existed and what they did, so that
if you wanted them you'd consider buying the other version to get
them.

Can't really fault them for a little self promotion.
