I think you can get it from Yak's Bend as a quest reward.
Crix Lionheart
With a 15 point energy cost and exhaustion, this skill seems to not be worth it.
Witcher King
Gale is 5 and exhaustion doesn't hurt an ele TOO much. My brother uses gale lots of times in pvp battles.
Good skill.
Good skill.

Good skill. I was thinking of Blind, which costs 15 energy. My mistake.

Good skill. It only really hurts if you forget about the exhaustion and use it repeatedly. (Happened a few times to me late at night, that spammability can be really annoying).

You want a tip ? Use this against Bosses they won't able to attack and heal.
Kelemvor
This skill never seems to knock them down for 3 secs, only the normal 1 sec for me.. anyone know why?
Legendary Dryder
It works for 3 seconds, compare your recharge to how long there knocked down.
Eilana Sakage
I once used this during arenas before I even really knew what exhaustion was. Didn't really bother me much though I used up my mana quite a bit, but it was nice to knock down some nasty and annoying warrior - repeatedly - that won't leave a comrade alone.
evox the evil
this has exaustion? wow i used it all the time when i was r/e. never saw the exaustion. this is good for any air/earth casters.use this then aftershock, since aftershock is an instant cast.
assassin of the god
anybody know where to get this skill if your changed your secondry to ele later in the game?
Former Ruling
Assassin - Buy it. I think Lion's Arch has it. and of course Dakk in Ember camp.
I'm surprised peopel have flooded this thread with gale Warrior talk.
Forthose who have been under a rock for 2 months - the new "fotm" warrior is a war/ele that carries gale and a focus on his swith to weapon. Teams usally carry 2-3 of them (though WM is semi-famous now for usually carrying 4).
They Chain gales from each other to keep a person knocked down all the time, or knockdown the monks as they are getting rdy to take out a character so the monks dont interfer.
Warriors laugh at exhaustion with their adrenal skills, and with the limitations of exhaustion and focus swithing - they can keep doing gale almost as fast as it rechrges with no hurt to their build's dmg.

Since when does this skill fail with less than five air? I was toying with a mesmer build today that used this, and I brought 4 air. It failed 3 times, saying my air magic is < 5...
If they updated this, why didn't they change the description?

It's been that way for a long time. I think since launch.

That description is correct, if you don't want the 50% failure chance... you need to have at least 5 air magic.
I admit it would probably be a bit clearer if the description said 50% failure chance with less than 5 air magic maybe
Murder In China
I found an interesting thingy to remove exhaustion quickly when I was using Gale with my warrior. Takes off exhaustion in like 6 seconds.

who cares if you dont tell us how
Murder In China
Play around with switching weapon slots.
In fact....who cares since I'm not saying how you do it. I'll just keep it to myself.

Sno - Its not that big of a requirement. Air users are going to have much more, and Gale Warriors usually run 9 air magic so it isn't a problem for them either.
Murder In China - You think you have a secret, but Gale Warriors have been Slot Swithing to Cheat Exhaustion almost since the build got popular.
For the guy how asked about it:
Exhaustion is real funny - in that it doesn't go under 0. Exhuastion stops when you have 0 energy. (ex. is suppsoed to take 10 energy with it, but say you had 5 max e now because of exhaustion, you use gale, you dont have -5e max e, just 0) - So you can see that if you swith your Slots around and get more energy back - that energy is given to you exhaustion free - meaning you can technically use Gale when you shouldn't have any energy left.

How come I never seen anything about this in any pvp thread?
Francis Crawford
I've begun using Gale in Sorrow's Furnace. It works really well. But in at least one case it made for slowwww regeneration after a fight.
Am I correct in assuming that the exhaustion penalty, no matter how large, only goes away at the equivalent of one energy pip? (I.e., one point every three seconds?)

That's right.
