An arena of a size of a 4vs4 arena, Which would look much like a football court(if thats how you call 'em:P).
The football arena could be factions-friendly. For example : Kurzicks vs Luxons - 0 : 5 (muahha im so evil to kurzicks:P)
On the arena, there would be a global environment effect. It would be something like this :

All players Energy is set to 30, health to 300, and +3 energy regeneration, no matter what proffession you have, you gain +3 health regeneration, and gain a single strike of adrenaline for each 5 seconds moving. When you possess the ball, you gain -4 energy regeneration, you suffer from burning, and whenever you attempt using a skill other than football related, you're easily interuptable. You lose the ball, when you reach 0 energy, when you're blind, or when your health reaches 0.
About health, i think it would be a nice idea to make "breaks" for those who actually "die". Those would spawn in a special area, and spawn there with 1 health.
Here are the skills i thought of, making this thread.
There will be neutral skills, and class-specific skills.(elites)
Spell. Pass. 5 energy cost. 2-4 seconds recharge. If you possess the ball, you pass it to target ally. If your ally is not in spell range, this spell misses, and you still lose the ball.
Spell. Shoot. 20 energy cost. 1 sec recharge, 2 seconds cast.. When you possess the ball, and you target the net(box, or whatever people call the thing people shoot goals into:P), you make an attempt to shoot. This spell is easily interuptable.
Just some examples, i don't have too much time to think of anything more here;P.
Class specific skills
Elementalist
Ability to cast spells that increase / decrease speed, other than Iron Mist, and Mist Form.(and other overpowered spells for this game, i havent mentioned)
Mesmer
Ability to cast most spells, that don't damage foes. Of course, spells are affected by fast casting. You can also use spell interupting skills, and most skills that mention spells.(like echo
)Monk
Ability to cast healing/prot spells when you don't possess the ball.
Warrior
Ability to use most strength, tactics and no-attribute warrior skills.
Ranger
Ability to use traps, most wilderness survival skills, expertise and beast mastery skills.
Pet-related skills and bow-related skills and spirits are not allowed.
Necromancer.
Ability to use most hexes, and enchantments.
Assassin
You can use shadowstepping skills, but you lose the ball whenever you do so.
Most Deadly arts skills allowed. Most Shadow arts skills allowed.Speed boosting skills allowed.
Ritualist
Ability to use most weapon spells, and an ability to use healing skills, and spells "urn" related.
Pfft, i made it in time. I didnt manage to do elites yet, i might think of something when i get back, my vocabulary sucks at the moment:P. Sry if i did anything wrong above, and correct me, i dont mind:P.
