Changing pet in factions

I want to get a Phoenix as my new pet.
Where can I find them, and can you take them to Prophicies ?

PS..anything special about taming them ?

1. You can find them in the exploreable area you get sent to after you complete the final mission. Same place you find the end of game armor and green weapons. They are tamed the same as any other pet.

2. Yes you can take them to Chapter 1, why wouldn't you? You can take them to the moon as well.

3. No, they look... well interesting. Besides that their is nothing special about them, they just another pet like another pet in the game.

I have a Phoenix pet, she goes everywhere my Ranger goes. Only thing that would be considered "special" about the Pheonix is that it flies about two feet off the ground. The only fighting pet that does.
A note: I was unable to find a pet tamer in the Divine Path after beating Shiro. So take charm animal with you, and get rid of pet before you go to kick Shiro's butt. Which isn't bad because you can replace that skill with the one you are going to get to help defeat Shiro. Then when you get zoned to the Divine Path you get charm animal back. The first thing you want to do is tame one. They are not hard to tame. Mine was a level 2 when I tamed her. Reason why you want to do this first, because the second group I was with decided to kill all of them. Luckly I tames her before they killed her.
