Question concerning about "Platinum" drops, items.

Just a simple question, Where do I get these weapons? I've been told that they belong to Kurzick side (chests, enemies) but just a few minutes ago I asked someone on Kaineng and he/she said that they can be obtained from Luxon chests. Kinda puzzled now

Platinum are globally dropped, it would seem. I don't think they're linked to one side, but they are more Kurzicky (the henchman has a Platinum sword, artistry on the blade is superior to anything Luxon).
Not sure though, I don't usually go in Luxon areas.

I have gotten at least ten randomly assorted platinum items from Luxon chests, none from Kurzick chests; though I get some things I don't get in Luxon chests. I was actually thinking the platinum things were more Luxon based while the Gothic were more Kurzick based.

I thought it was Kurzickish, I am a Luxon and I have opened a few chests in my area and no "Platinum" item obtained. Well I guess I have to keep running on chest. By the way I am looking for a Platinum Staff, based towards Fire requierements. But thanks for the replies.

Seems to be very global item, though Kurzick chests haven't dropped any platinum items for me.

At first glace from all the advertising I thought it was a new kind wep rarity higher than that of golds. But after seeing it they looked like regular old drops just with platinum on it. Skins weren't even that good.

I got a platinum staff in burdek.....havent been to luxon or kurzick areas yet. Got the staff on the first day my monk was wandering the slums.....nice drop!

I get tons of Plat items chest farming Luxon chests.

I just wanted to point out that when you look at the drops, well armor wise, Luxon armor drops from Kurzic chests and Kurzic armor drops from Luxon chests. Which leads me to belive that the drops are pretty much global, eaither that or each faction is stocking up on the booty from each battle

Thats because you only get armour drops form foes not allies, and if your a luxon then te kurzicks are your foes, so armour from luxon chests would be kurzick and vice versa
