Buying and selling items, the risk

I was wondering if buying and selling items to a bot player, such as those in LA dist 1, would land you in a great chance of being banned for interactions with bots?

And is it worth the risk to buy things from them at a lower price?

Buying from bots doesn't seem to be a risk at all - I have bought a ton of items from players I assumed were bots.

Selling - I'm not aware of many bots buying items other than the -50HP Grim Cesta and maybe superior runes.
