I just wasted 1 hour of my life trying to cap a skill, fighting my way to the magicbox monk boss. And I only got there to find out the henchies cant outdamage lvl 28 and 24 bonders. I really dont see why Luxons get all the usefull henchies while we get just plain damage with no enchant strip or interrupt... on an area full of bonders.
The battle has been going on for about half an hour now (got game minimized), Its a party of 6 damage dealers + me and danika vs a group with 2 boon signet bonders, an assassin and a warrior. Correct me if Im wrong but this just doesnt sound right.

Anyway, tips on how to take that boss down are welcomed.

I tried taking the boss down with my monk and a group of henchies, and ran into the exact same stalemate you've got going. I don't believe Luxon henchies are any better though...

Aim for the non-boss monk first, he will be a tough nut to crack but will go down. Once he's down magicbox will be easy, and you have enough defensive power to take down the fighter dredge.
If you're a damage-dealing class it's even easier. Just don't aggro the oni that spawn in the clearing.

Yea Magicbox is a pain. I had to ask for help from guildies in taking him down as I couldn't get henchies to get the job done.
Henchies in general need a lot of work. We need to be able to command them, but they also need to be at least as smart as the mobs we fight against.

They should just put millions of enchant removals on the henchmen like the mobs have. Henchmen need to be improved in general and not just for kurzicks.

Erys for one uses Cry of Frustration CONSTANTLY. I don't know what you guys are complaining about, Magicbox was easy, especially if you start from Aspenwood.

Erys is a great henchie. I always bring him if I can. And if you're going up against those monks, take him. Check out his build. The Kurzick henchies don't seem any worse off to me. Keep in mind, a pair of monks are a bitch for anyone to deal with.
Hockster
I had very little trouble killing him with just hench using my ranger, warrior and ele so far.

Personally, I think the henchmen have been greatly improved ~
Comparing Tyrian and Canthan henchmen, I would prefer Canthan henchmen of course ~
