What is wrong with the auction system? I probably check it 2 or 3 times a day (lately) and it is slow slow slow... or php crashes and "page cannot be displayed". Makes it hard to stay engaged.
I would both buy and sell more on the auction system (a great idea!), however the php crashes constantly... for instance, yesterday I was attempting to bid on an item that closed in 8 minutes... well access to the bid page must have crashed 6 times in a row, and I missed my buy opportunity.
Today, I spent 30 mins editing screenshots to create a bunch of items to sell. I have been trying for 30 minutes to input my sell items, but after I've completed all the sell info and hit the "submit" button, the php always crashes. 1 hour wasted.
Note these crashes, and slow behavior of the server occur for me on 3 different machines: 2 on high-speed DSL, and one on Cable.
The Auction System used to work better... seems capacity must be maxed or something... I'm no techie, all I know is that if its not easy to use, or is being difficult, people will stop using it.
Constant Problems with AUCTION System - will the php ever be fixed?

I know... *sigh* I have no answer at this time. I'm speaking with the server admin. I promise if I have an update I'll give it to you as soon as I'm able.

Thanks for responding Inde, good to know that it is being worked on...
---- Just to put the issues in perspective (for the worse, methinks):: I had completely stopped posting items to sell as of about 3 weeks ago because it is so hard now. I buy every so often still, but even to browse for items i get at LEAST 30 php fails in 30 minutes while simply browsing...
Server data capacity overloaded? There has got to be hundreds of thousands if not millions of posted items now. Anyway, i hope that my reccount wasnt too discouraging. Once again, thanks for responding so fast Inde!
EDIT:: Just a heads up, the "Remember Me" feature for Auctions login still does not work correctly. This was an issue from day one, and seems to be unresolved. Basically, it remains logged for as long as i logged at least once and keep my computer on. As soon as i turn off my computer, once i turn my computer back on, it will not auto log me as i get back on my browser and the site. I know for a fact it is not client based, because all cookies load correctly for other site logins... or, maybe my specific cookie for Auctions is corrupted? idk.

All right, here's what we can do. I'm going to make a list in the next day of all known auction problems that I have. Yeah, it will be depressing (more for us who have to fix these problems ) but I would like to run it by all of the community and see if there are any other problems that are outstanding that I've missed.
I want to let you know that we are recording, looking into, and will get these problems fixed. I can't offer timelines but if there's a running list then I can post it here and in the Auctions so that people are aware and can report new or changed problems.
