Hello Guild Wars Community,
I'm here to see what your opinions are about a feature that I've thought of. I'm sure that I am not the only one who has thought of it. I've requested it but the support ticket reply I got informed me to present the idea to the Guild Wars community. Here I am doing just that. My guild and I have really grown a great bond between each other and we all share weapons, gold, armor, etc. We hate meeting in the Guild Hall to trade between each other. We also like to reward lower guild members for being in the guild and helping us out with Guild Battles. What better way than to give them gold?
How can we bring all of that together, you ask? Simple! Get guild storage! How would this work? I've given this the best thought I could give to a feature I want in a game and I think I've honestly worked it all the way through as to how it would work. (Not programming, but the end user workings.)
Basically, your storage window when you go see an agent gets a tab in the upper part of the window. The main tab, Account Storage, would store everything that is yours. Just like the storage we have now. The secondary tab, Guild Storage, would show items (double amount of Account Storage) and gold that the Guild Officers can share and have access to all the time. Think of it as a joint account at a bank.
The Guild Storage should be able to hold double the amount of gold that Account Storage can hold. The item boxes should be able to hold double the amount of item boxes the Account Storage can hold. It's almost like an advanced storage but it has all Guild officers have access to it.
Now of course you're going to make all of your Guild Officers the trusting members of the guild. I mean, who would just pick up a random guild member and make them an officer without getting to know them? I'm sure there are people who do that though, unfortunately.
What I'd like to know is hear your opinions on this new feature idea. Do you think it would be a good idea? Do you think it would benefit Guilds in the future? Let's here some discussion on this.
I know my guild and I would really like to have this. It seems like a better management system than what our current Guilds have.
Thank you for taking the time to read,

Not only has this idea been brought up many times, Anet already said it was in the works. It's supposed to appear "soon." There's no point in another thread on the topic. :\

my only concern is people thinking they can trust other guildies but they soon find out theres some that r greedy lil boogers lol.

lol, xiv. Also, wrong forum. Suggestions should go in Sardalac, not Riverside. This will probably get locked since this has been suggested several times already.

Also, your suggestion makes people less likely to join other guilds.
Here is the decision tree:
A) I can see my friends in a little screen and type at them with my name appearing in green! We can share our monies and weapons!
B) I can buy myself a guild and a hall, and then triple the size of my personal storage! Since I can communicate with my friends in ts anyway, I really could care less about the guild chat!
If a guild chooses to share stuff in storage (going A), newer players will not be allowed to enter the leadership. Social stagnation is pretty much guaranteed, becuase no one likes to get robbed.
If they go B, it leads to massive inflation, as the wealthy can store more items of greater value. Mass inflation leads invariably to a barter system. There are tons of broken economies out there that back me up on this (game and real).
So yes, it is taking them a while to decide what to do.
