Many players like to do missions, others dont, or dont want to repeat them with a 2nd, 3th chr. I think it would be good to give alternatives to bypass missions that are necessary to get to the next part of the map by giving adventuring alternatives. What I have in mind is this:
Allow players who kill bosses to find keyparts to the next area. When they found all keyparts they unlock access to that aerea just like the mission would have done.

So to give people who are bored and want a faster way through than doing a 30 minute mission, you want them to have to kill numerous bosses for parts of a key, that's going to take more than 30 minutes to get? I fail to understand the logic behind this suggestion.

1. For some people missions are trial and error business with pug groups. After 2 or 3 attempts they get the feeling it may take forever. Give them an alternative so they always have the feeling 'to be in control'. Just a matter of free choice.
2. Some people simply don't like missions. They wander from area to area untill they get to a point where a mission is really needed to proceed. By slaying bosses they can bypass what they don't like and keep playing the way they like most.
3. Closed gates. For me a reason not to buy Factions. Unless you have many hours to spend it would at least take 2-3 weeks to pass them. I'd rather spend 5 weeks killing bosses to get to a new map.
4. It would be a good alternative to level a 2nd or 3th chr. Not doing the same missions but playing it differently.
5. While adventuring you encounter bosses anyway. By the time you are at the mission post you probably already have most of the keyparts, if not all.
