slow loading

Hello
I have problem... Loading from location to another location is very, very slow - between 1-2 min
And in a cities, sometimes in other locations is game very slow, not fluent, a lots of lags
My PC: Duron 900 Mhz, 256 RAM, WinXP, GeForce 3 - 128 (new drivers)
I know, it is slow PC, but I play at low details, 800x600
Can you help me, please

It has always been like that, I have GW 3 days.

what is your internet speed?
this slow loading usually occurs after a new update, when the game is downloading new stuff. on dial-up, try leaving the game at the logon screen overnight. if it is a broadband, you might have a problem

I had login screen overnight. Internet - between 256-400 kbs, I played Ultima online before GW and I didn't have any problem with internet

Well, for a start running XP with only 256MB of RAM is a definate no-no. XP alone eats up 180MB-220MB unless you've gone through it and disabled all the services that are not needed.

As for the the long loading times, yes you may have a decent interweb conection, but after it's downloaded the required files it then relies on your PC to de-compress them and that is limited by the speed of your PC.

But I know one guy, he hes similar PC(same RAM) - but he has win98 and he has fluently game and normal loading... Do you think it's my problem - WinXP?
And I try play GW with disabled all services
