There should be an option (leaders and officers only) where you can select a person in your guild hall, and kick them from it..

If an alliance (or other guild member for that matter) come in your guild hall, and your holding a 'meeting' there with the other officers or leaders of allied guilds, and its a closed meeting you dont want members, or other alliance guild members in your hall... Select the Person, click "Kick" or something...

Just an idea now that alliance chat is open for everyone to chat in... us leaders have to have somewhere we can chat in peace..

Well, this seems really interesting. But I have a question:

Should this power really be given to Officers as well and why?

I dont like guilds...

Mo/E

Unless the guild is planning to do something soon, like a gvg i dont see why anyone would be in the guild hall anyway.

And what could be so serious for you talk about that you wouldnt even want fellow guildies to see?

And why dont you just get into a group and use the team-channel?

I think he meant Anet provide something in-game, rather than relying on other companies to solve their problems.

we need better chat systems, period.

Just the ability to make a chatroom would be nice. .-.

Or form a party in your guild hall and talk amougst yourselves.

Plus if it's so serious that your regular members shouldn't see it and they're not leaving when you ask them to then kick them.

Partys are limited to 8 ppl - what if you want to hold a Guild/alliance meeting, you want the leaders and officers involved? -- not everyone likes/uses TS and/or Ventrilo, same with IRC, skype (limited to 8 people in confrence again)

How about a special area in the guild hall for the leader/officers only? :P

I dont think many guilds have more than 8 leader figures, form a group. I'd also assume that a guild large enough to need 8 leader figures would have some form of communication outside of the game.

I've been treading the person who made this thread posts for a while, and it seems like you need a spot to chat. Well, luckily guild wars has made a spot just for you. Once you are inside, no one else can come in. You can speak in all and only the people you want will hear it. The name of this place is your guild hall. To access this feature, have half your meeting committee on one team, the other half on another team, click on the Guild Battle button, select Host A Scrimmage Match, then have the other team click on Guild Battle, and join your scrimmage match. Once inside, the only people who can hear your "all" speak are the people inside the scrimmage. It's just like meeting in the Guild hall, without interruptions.

brillent (damn i cant spell today / not to mention i dont know how to spell it anyway lol)

but yes i agree leaders and officers should be able to "kick" ppl form hall but i prefer it if you just tell them to get the **** outta my ****ing hall so i can get this god**** meeting going..or something less brutal. and anyway why would another allinace be in your guild hall hosting a meeting with their own guild?

Haha you actually got me laughing out loud.

Dude, if they don't want to leave, there's two explanations for it:
1: He doesn't give a damn about you, your "power" is not enough
2: He's not worth being in your guild alliance if he can't be serious

This is not a "problem" on A-net's side, more a "social problem" of your own.

form 2 parties and scrim, chat in your scrim. Thats 16 people. If your having a bigger meeting than 16 people, you really should find something less fat such as IRC.
