Your WORST disaster from -LAGGING-

Lag.

A common threat to any online activity--- especial MMORPG gaming.
Happens during GvG, crucial HoH matches, TA, RA, missions... all the time.

What's your absolute worst --- lag disaster --- known to you...

I have went to FoW countless times to do chest runs, farming and getting people their very own FoW armor.
OK. So I played with this group and we did reach the FoW crafter. So one guy --- an Elementalist.. we all had a massive lag for like 10 seconds... and god bless that guy; he clicked twice on the boots part --- he bought 2 FoW boots. 300k Gold gone just like that... He's in my contact list and he never went online since that day.

edit: Oh sry. I forgot to mention my own disaster. I sold my Drago's Flat Bow in merchant at Warcamp for "3 gold"... when it was running at around 90 - 100K+XXectos.
That's my worst known lag disaster. How about you?

mine was when i was buying my 15k platemail armour i bought 2 chests! kinda like the stroy above but not as unlucky hehe...

I've had several, worst one was a req 11 15>50 storm bow I had drop doing an UW run before factions came out, I been doing this run with friends for a long time and when we get golds we drop them so the other person can see the stats, dropped this all happy... lovely lag followed by err7 before i got chance to pick it up

Also I've had a couple of key problems with lag when trying to buy say 10 from the merchant, got lag and clicked it several times thinking its not working and ended up with 40 lol. I'm sure someone at anet gets bored and watches people doing things (matrix style) and then says to the guy next to them 'wouldnt it be funny if this happened' *enforces superior rune of lag mastery onto the server* hehehehe I'm joking of course... or am I?

Won through 9 games in the Random Arenas with no lag problems.

10th game I lag horribly...I type to my team that I'm lagging and it shows up almost a minute after I type it and same with movement controls. Well, we ended up losing and I had to add my teammates to my ignore list afterwards.

for me id say ti was when i first attempted to get the survivor title, i was soloing some enemies hit a lag spike and bam dead, had to delete and restart jsut like that. The same thing nearly happened again when i was jsut 100k xp away from legendary survivor thankfully i managed to disconnect

In FoW when they were preparing the servers for the factions update there was just really, really bad lag. Had to just call it quits. Not nearly as bad as #1 though.
Actually I just remembered, I know someone her merched their FoW boots

well i was playing gw just tring to sell at droks and me is in me room and i was playing x-box live at same time i compltly lagged out on xbox, we was shooting and nothing happened lol, so i went to go throught a portal/gate thing to the outside world and i wasnt going out of the citys and i couldnt get ut of the citys and i just keept running and i could run round outside of droks and no monsters and i just then got disconnected

A couple days ago I was trying to cap Flesh Golem. I was lagging pretty bad the whole time but it kept me connected so I just continued on. I killed everything around the boss and then finally started killing the boss. I had him down to about 10% hp and then of course everything stops moving and then boom Err=007'd! I was pissed. I spent a good 45 mins finding my way to that stupid boss only to have to do it all over again.

Propably worst was err7 while holding in halls and then coming back online seeing that my group holds it for a while, without me being there...>.<

worst? any day I have to be in the slums of cantha....my lag there is 2-7 seconds (had 10 seconds for a while one day---really need patience to play with that much)....got pretty used to 60dp............

Doing the supply run before they nerfed it - running along on my warrior, just fine. Get about halfway through and stop. My guy stands there for about a minute, then I rubberband BACK to the FIRST mob and explode in a mass of little red numbers.

Definitely not a problem on my end.

chaos ax s req 8 and 9 15^50. i sell the req 8 for a whole lot of ecto and move on to sell the other. now boom i lag out so i am like ok i will just come back in a little while.

now some will say this is not a bad example as in the others but this is bad. i sign back in and low and behold boom i do not have the second ax nor do i have the ecto s that i received from the first ax. why you say ... anet had to reset the servers because of that glitch were everyone could buy ecto for 100 gold lol.

the chaos ax s i had gotten as a drop and from a chest while this was going on. i lost a ton from anets glitch and beleive this is worse then lag lose lol.

Last week i was in a r1-r4 PuG with an R9 leader in HA. We were progressing through and as the maps were switching i got Code=7. I logged back on and apologised then the team won HoH. I still want to hurt myself >_<

Would have been my first time winning HoH as well.

Edit: Why don't they tell us what causes these errors so we can take preventative measures? Or are they all from their servers?

Lost my lvl1 survival title when I was 45 xp away from getting it. I attacked a mob of Jade Brotherhood and next thing I know the screen refreshes at 1 frame per 2 seconds.

20 feet away...10 feet away ... in my face...killing me (desperatly clicking Healing Touch)....dead

Nothing too disasterous. I've lagged out in missions and whatnot, but most recently, I lagged out about 97% of the way through henching Defend Droknar's Forge. That was a decent time investment lost.

Funniest recently, right after the major rune change, I decided to do a few Ettin Runs in Tyria. So I'm doing the run, surrounded by four Ettins when the lag hits. My skill is flashing, but no one is moving. The Ettins stop attacking and we're just standing there.
Then, the Ettins must get bored because they start swatting flies. Or maybe someone busted one, because they were waving their hands in front of their faces like they smelled something foul.

Finally... err7.

Yeah, when the enemies stop attacking and we all stand up, I know I'm about to lag out. It's like slow painful death.

"maybe it will start up, maybe it wil start up, maybe it will....DAMMIT"

Right after i beat Kanaxai, he dropped me his axe and BAM lag then i get droped.....It was when LIKE no1 know who Kanaxai was too><

mine was when i was halfway to my survivor 2, lagged and died

Was merching some items, got some lag, clicked an item twice. Just my luck under that item was 50 Globs Of Ectoplasm, all gone to merch. After that I never caried rare items or materials when I went to merch things.

well, I was in the UW, near a chest and right at the part whe you cap the spider (I needed a spider at the time) and all the sudden I notice I couldn't move, I couldnt do ANYTHING. Then I realised....OH NOES! but by that time I was already looking at the warning label for error=007....
