IWAY is shorthand for a Warrior shout "I Will Avenge You!"

WoH is shorthand for a Monk Elite skill Word of Healing.

PvE is short for Player vs. Environment. It just means the RPG content rather than the competative content.

To cap a spell/skill, you'll need to have a Signet of Capture (usually refered to as a Cap Sig), and you will need to find a boss with either your primary or secondary class. Kill that boss, then use the Cap Sig while you're near that boss. You can then select to permanently replace your cap sig with one of the bosses skills. This is the only way for a PvE character to get Elite (gold text) skills.

That should cover ya'. If you wanna see what those two skills do, click on that boat on your map, go to the temple (I believe that it's the Temple of Balthazar), and talk to a priest of Balthazar in that area. You can check out all of the skills there. You could also try GuildWiki - http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Main_Page .

I Will Avenge You - warrior skill and team build

Woh - Word of Healing, monk spell

PvE - player vs environment/monsters/etc

To get an elite you buy and equip a signet of capture while in town, kill a boss that uses an elite of either of your 2 professions, use the signet and capture that skill, which adds it to your collection of skills and replaces the signet. You could use it for non-elites as well, but only from a boss.

There is a list of gaming terms around here somewhere, look on the guru page under guides?

For Prophecies, you can get a couple for free by doing a quest that starts off in Lion's Arch or you can buy them from skill trainers (costs money and a skill point).

Don't know about Factions.

In Faction, you can buy Cap sig when you arrive at the Mainland of Cantha (New Cathan Players only and except Marketplace, I suggest to go at Keineng Center). You can find in many outpost where the guy has in his name [Skill] to mean you can buy skills and Cap sig. But you can't buy Elite skills. You must find it and use Cap sig to get it on a boss.

In Tyrian, you begin to see Capture Signet at Lion Arch (in a quest of Magi Malaquire) and he will gives you 1 free and another 1 if you do his quest

Check here for info:

http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Signet_of_capture

From that page:

Acquisition

Prophecies Campaign: To introduce you to the Signet of Capture, Magi Malaquire in Lion's Arch gives you the quest Malaquire's Test and one Signet of Capture upfront, and another one as part of the reward.

Whether or not you complete Malaquire's Test, you can purchase additional signets from most other skill trainers in Kryta, Maguuma Jungle, the Crystal Desert and the Southern Shiverpeaks.

Buying a Signet of Capture will cost one Skill Point and some gold.
