help!! Elementalist or Necromancer??

I'm stuck between Elementalist or Necromancer for my last pve spot.

I mean I do a bit of everything of FoW and UW, pvp, pve, farming, etc...etc..
I've already unlocked atleast half of the skills of both professions; but I can't decide which one I should go with...

Being an Echo nuker might give me good fun in UW, and kick some NPC arse.
But Necro is even cooler -- cause you get to do MM and 55 Necro (also UW) but I don't know if many people like necro in their team.. yes?no?maybe?

Oh well. Bottom line is I don't have much experience nor knowledge of both professions. Which one should I get???

I think PvE'ers prefer necro's, but I have fun playing my earth elementalist...why don't you make a mesmer?

there was a thread recently about a mes/warrior who did a Drok run with hardly a scratch the whole way putting w/mo to shame

That doesn't count, Avarre did the build to prove mesmers dont suck in PvE


Well, I see less Nuker in groups seriously since the the MM comes out. I see more Necro these time ( and Assassins too)

In faction, it looks like MM got the majority in missions instead Nukers.

I had a blood necro all the way up to the last missions where u gotta be SS or MM to get into a group...I loved every second of it.

I've never tryed ele, however

i'd say take both... El/N; you'll have the option of switching between a storage necro and a self healing El - that way if the team has a MM necro you can be a SS necro; - if they have both then you can sit back lobing fire, useing life sphions for yourself or even well's of blood for your front line guys .

I think necros are far more effective than ellys. You can go out MM almost anywhere alone in cantha with a few henchies, and pretty much every mission there requires them. If not you can go SS, when MM isn't effective. Ellys are good for Fow and UW sure..but necros are used in everything from oro/fa farming b/p in tombs...etc etc. and you can go necro/warrior an be leet Lol just is just my opioin of course! Btw I made an elly today, lmao.

no matter which one you choose you will be delighted with either one. the nec easy to get groups. the ele a lil harder but my earth ele flew through the game with hench. just roll a die odd necro..even ele lol.

I have both and they are both great!!
My favorite tho so far is the ss nec I have and now Im starting my 55 carrier
However nothing like a good elemental so many otion there too.
So...if you have 2 char slots get one of each you will enjoy them both tremendously
