As it stands Bow and Hammer users are penalished comparted to others (Sword/axe warriors get 2 mods each on both weapon & shield, casters get mods on both one-handed & off-hand items, and extra bonuses available on staves), so imo it's about time they were upgraded along the lines of 2 handed staves eg. add things like reduce dazed/crippled/knock down duration, halve recharge of skills/spells 10% etc to bring them in-line - thinking about it I guess Assassins are in the same position with daggers.

Sword Warrior = 2 mods on Sword + damage bonus + 2 mods on shield
Axe Warrior = 2 mods on axe + damage bonus + 2 on shield
Hammer warrior = 2 mods on hammer + bonus damage
Ranger = 2 mods on bow + bonus damage
Caster = 2 mods on staff + energy bonus + 2 possible bonuses
Dagger Assassin = 2 mods + damage bonus

Hammers are already better than swords/axes....that is if you know how to play... but w/e most players don't

If you're worried about ranger spike, maybe anet will just nerf dual shot into crap . As for increasing power of hammers and bows, instead of extra mods, maybe raise the max damage or raise the minimum damage: 15-33 or 20-28 for a bow and 19-40 or 25-35 for hammer. Just an idea
