Are Factions Event characters available when I buy Factions?

I need some more information about Factions before I decide to buy it or not:

1. Will the level 20 PvE event chr. be unlocked when I enter a Factions key? (it still shows up in my chr. slots).

2. If so, will it still be level 20 and will it have all items and skills it had at the end of the event?

3. Will it still be where I left it, in Cavalon?

Furthermore:

4. Where will my ascended Prophecy chr's start?

5. Will it be possible to change their 2nd profession instantly into Faction professions?

6. Will they be able to purchase the new Factions skills for their own professions instantly?

1. Yes.

2. No, level 1 starter character, completely reset as far as any advancement, skills, etc.

3. See #2.

4. Where ever you left them in Tyria. You can travel between Tyria and Cantha if you have both games. Se Sergio in LA to get a quest for Mhenlo to make the initial journey.

5. Not instantly but there is an NPC to do so.

6. Some can be purchased at the first town you get to, others will have to be captured, etc - just like it is in Tyria.

Add-on for No. 2 - Any skills unlocked during the events remain available for PvP chars.

No. 5 - The NPC to change 2nd prof is a little ways into Factions. No questing to change this time, however, you do need to pay some gold.

No. 6 - No skills are available through questing as it is in Tyria so you can purchase pretty much all of them in the first town (for Tyrian chars that is) apart from the elites obviously.

On a side note - watch out for some Prophecies skills that have been renamed in Cantha. While they'll still have the old name in your skill list, it'll show up like a new skill in the traders list with the only difference being the design of skill icon.

If you have both chapters, this is something to look out for, unless you just like collecting all your skills. But some ppl dont have the first chapter so thats why similar skills show up cause they cant get them in tyria.

Depending on the skill you may very much want to buy the duplicate version. Having 2 of a spell that takes 20 seconds to recharge may be very desirable, at the cost of a skill slot you are doubling your use of the spell without any glyph or anything. Add echo or a glyph and you use it even more.
