Im getting really bad FPS in game , 10-20.
This is when Audio Playback Hardware Acceleration is on FULL.
When i turn it to NONE the frames go back to how they were 85fps (before all the sound updates for guildwars) however due to this i have 1 additional problem:

Occassionaly when somebody dies, or i pick up a coin for example i will get repeating sounds of that sound effect -> broken record player effect. This makes the game really annoying to play. This sound only stops when i leave the area that it occured in.

My sound card is Soundblaster Audigy 4,I have the latest drivers and I have reinstalled DX and Guildwars, i still have the same problem, can some1 please help me, this problem as been going on for ages now since the unnecessary sound updates by guildwars, and im finally hoping that a solution can be found.

Did you try turning down the sound quality slider in GW? If you set it at the middle or the first notch your sound should work normally in GW, then you might be able to turn your hardware acceleration up a notch or two and hopefully those sound bugs should go away. I have been having a similar problem and that helped a lot for me. Having the GW sound quality at the first notch and hardware acceleration at the Recommended level (third notch) helped a lot. I get better graphics performance improvements at lower levels of hardware acceleration but I didn't like the crappiness in sound performance I got with it so I made a compromise.

As a rule of thumb, never run the slider above the middle setting. At notch 4 or 5 you're asking for trouble, because those settings simply don't work. Put it in the middle, exit the game completely and then restart it. That solves the vast majority of sound issues. I hate to bitch about it, but fixing the sound engine obviously isn't a priority on the devs' list.
