So, I've been thinking about the whole two handed swords and axes, but there would be a problem, there would either have to be more attributes in the warrior class, or an entirely new profesion, and I personally would not want to pay $25 for a barbarian with an axe.
Proposal:
Create 2 handed swords and axes that do moderate damage~
18-28 ish for a two handed sword
10-33 ish for a two handed axe
These would use the same mods as normal swords + axes (unrealistic, but much less complex) and would obviously take your offhand slot.
1) They would use the same Skills, this would prevent new prof. based on it.
2) They would have the same attack speed as their counterpart, since the offhand is 16 armor, 2 or 3 damage would not through it off to much and would automatically make someone choose between 16 armor or a few more base damage, sounds fair enough?
3) Same conditional damaging, +15%^50% etc. Hammers have that, why change it?
maybe make a onehanded hammer, but were not that far yet.

and no, as being an ele main, i dont see this as glorifying warriors (more). Just a way to make the game a little more diverse.

they lose 16 armor! thats a lot, and its only like 3 damage more... it shouldnt effect them that much
If we switched the attack speed, but keeped the same swordsmanship att., (as read in the other post) ppl will just switch from 1hands for adr. then to 2hands for a damage dealing blow. = unbalanced.

What's the point of using the two-handed weapon if it does the same dps? Keeping the same attack speed and upping the damage ensures that people won't automaticaly choose the added armor of the shield over the damaging but slower (thus the same dps as the one-handed) two-handed weapon.

If the choice is strictly armor vs damage, then people would only use 1H + shield in pve and only use 2H in pvp, and anyone who doesn't would get called a noob. No thanks.

Frenzy is popular because it is not flurry. Also its drawback is not a factor unless they target you. even better it lasts 8 seconds which makes it more energy efficient without reducing your dps. even better than all that its unlinked so it doesn't require speccing any attributes.
the drawback is just incidental.

Second, a 10-33 base damage Eviscerate would be overpowered, regardless of attack speed. Because they would use the same skills as a normal axe, you could just attack with a regular axe to gain adrenaline (while maintaining DPS) then switch into the 2h one for a spike.
Thirdly, the differance between min-max damage for swords is 7 (but 5 less max damage than axe) and min-max for axes is 12 (but 9 less min damage than sword). That is balance. The differance for your min-max damage on 2h swords is 10 (but 5 less max damage than 2h axe) and min-max damage on your 2h axes is 23 (but 8 less min damage than 2h swords). I'll let you figure out where you went wrong.
