W/Mo Reefclaw ragebound solo

Ok, this is another embarassingly easy warrior boss to kill. It takes no more than several minutes from start to finish. He drops the green shield Reefclaw's Refuge (seen below) I'm sure many of you don't need telling about this but i thought it would be good to have a thread to put on the solo farming board anyway.

Equipment

Any shield that gives bonuses while enchanted (because of balthazar's)

Superior tactics rune, minor strength rune.

Weapon doesn't matter


Skills


Sprint
Riposte
Deadly Riposte
Auspicious Parry (e) or Gladiator's defence (e)
Dolyak signet
Healing signet
Balthazar's spirit
This slot doesn't matter - take a capture signet for 'primal rage' elite if you don't have it, otherwise whatever you like the look of.

Attributes

Strength 11
Tactics 16


Method

Head out of Leviathon pits into Gyala Hatchery. Put on B.Spirit and jog past the outcasts (they will be more interested in fighting the luxons) If they do attack just sprint away and they wil soon lose interest. Once at the top of the slope, look left, you will see the boss Reefclaw Ragebound. Sprint towards him. The idea here is to try and aggro him before he starts attacking the outcasts with his leviathon mates. This is purely to save time and it doesn't matter if he does attack them as he will almost always win the battle. He is very easy to aggro as he is not 'attached' to the leviathons and will easily seperate from them making it all the more simple to do.

Once you have his attention, pull him to a safe distance (to the south or east works well) and commence battle. It is useful to pull him as far as possible or you occasionally risk standing in the path of another group of Outcasts who may come over and spoil the party. The battle is very easy as there are no other enemies to contend with and reefclaw has no healing abilities. Use dolyak and riposte/deadly riposte combined with Auspicious parry/Glad's defence and he will fall in no time - don't forget to heal if you need to.

Easy boss kill, thanks for the .. help.

Though he doesn't seem to like dropping... *anything* for me. I've tried waiting till he's killed the outcasts, till he's at full health..*sigh* maybe i'm just unlucky

You can pull the Ritualist boss out from the north and the Jacqui's warrior by waiting for him to kill the non-outcast and coming to you, I farm all 3 of them in same trip, about.. 5 - 10 minutes a run.

how can you tell if hes holding it, or does he just hold like normal, i ahvent seen him with it yet? ;/

you can't tell if he's holding it or not - just kill him and find out

I'll definately try this out tomorrow, seems relatively easy.

I killed him 12 time today did not get anything but got greens from others. Maybe becouse I am not Luxon?

Reefclaw doesn't seem to want to drop his shield for me. I'll give up after 20 tries.

do u have to be luxon to get a drop??

I gave up farming Reefclaw, can't even sell his shield for 1k in game XD.....

You don't really need the Balthazar's Spirit.
Any W/X can do this one.
Just use repostes, and a drunken blow. He falls in notime.

But he has problems dropping thing though.
Sometimes he doesnt drop anything at all.
Tried it about 10 times or so, and I only get crap

The rit boss does drop a boss (just like any other non-afflicted boss).
But it never works for me pulling him out of that group.

how is this shield desireable?
