Well, The Ranger's Beacon is a site totally dedicated to Rangers. Since the original Ranger's Beacon went down, two Rangers, myself (Reikai Tsubasa), and Uchiha Arashi have attempted to bring it back, and I think, with some success.
Now, we have another member with us, Jack Valmont.
At the Ranger's Beacon, we attempt to provide the latest, and greatest information, and builds for Rangers. Although we will not have the answer for everything, I think we will cover more ground than any other site.
We have also recently added a forum to the Ranger's Beacon site, so if you have time, please check us out here. We focus totally on Rangers, and have people from gwonline, guildwarsguru, and various other sites, so if you can't find what your looking for here at this forum, please check us out!.
Now without further ado:
The Ranger's Beacon
If you have any suggestions, comments, or questions, please post on our forum located here:

Good to see Reikai
I book marked it and Ill be checking back for when you have the site really up and running. I always love seeing new guild wars site and I have a webpage (totally unrelated to GW's) up myself so I know what its like to put a lot of hard work and time/effort into these things.
Nice job! I look forward to seeing everything done!

Hey Reikai,
Another thing I wanted to mention, I really loved the FoW solo guide. Excellent description and maps to show you were to go.
I have just one question though, or maybe comment to make. Maybe it would be beneficial to mention what loot you are likely to get, and if there are any treasure boxes for you to open while you are there?!? Just a suggestion, I thought the guide though was very well done.

I vote to put the Punishing Shot icon on top of Barrage
Come on be honest, you all know Punishing Shot pwns!
Oh and nice site btw. i haven't had chance to check it all but does it have things like Running builds on it too?
Just been looking at the green bows.... What in gods name is the point of 'Ahvha's Longbow' and 'Jin's Hornbow'!?

Ahvha's Long would be a great starter weapon to hand to a new ranger - low req with nice mods.
Jin's.... I have no idea. Its a poor version of Meysnang's Longbow for sure. Maybe useful for a pet master build?

Seriously, who would spend a few k on a green bow then 3 missions later, have to get rid of it because its useless. I'd rather just wait and buy a proper max damage bow later on.
Jack, post in here and tell us you've updated, or we'll never know

Didn't see this one listed in your greens section...
Kaolin Longbow: 15-28 (9+ marks)
Damage +15%, -10AL while attacking
Lengthens Dazed duration on foes by 33%
Health +30
I believe I got it off the ranger in Sun Jiang district. (just a lucky
green when I went through him to cap something with henchies).

Wow this a few months old now
I was just about to make a thread about the R/D farmer arashi posted on TRB, but meh, might as well just link it off this thread.
The build is an interesting concept, using several ranger stances with 2 or 3 scythe attacks while under apply poison to gain the benefit of Reap Impurities, Victorious Sweep, and Eremite's Attack. It's a solid build that can farm a mob of 4/5 Cobalt Mokeles+their paragon buddies in about a minute. And also currently, there's a chance to win a scythe for this build in the trade section, all you have to do is bust out some simple geometry skills and PM me in-game.
Anyways, highly encourage all new rangers to give the site a look, it's now an official GW fansite, too. Pretty much all the info(maybe more)you can get from wiki/guru, but with a brighter background and a cooler name/sense of elitism =P
