Assassin Swordsman

Tan Blademaster, go away with your flames, come back with something worthwhile, gbgestey, I actually this this Sin board is the nicest most friendly one of the forums, of the main ones of us, there are people that come in and try to start crap. Is that fellblade 15^50? if so you are seriously lucky man, that thing would be worth ALOT
Rikimaru
Heheh, no, it's +15% while enchanted. Even better for this build, but worth much less.
Lambentviper
hmm now i wish i didnt merch my fellblades...i think they would look awesome on assassins!
Rikimaru
On an assassin, Fellblades are even bigger compared to the character itself. I've had a few people say my character looks like Cloud because of it.
Kijik Oni Hanryuu
OOOH Cloud FTW

Well, I found out something disturbing earlier today.
While this build works completely fine, it's easily possible for Warrior primaries to accomplish the job much better, both offensively and defensively.
I Made a PvP warrior, gave him 13 strength, 16 swordsmanship, Sever, Gash, Final Thrust, Battle Rage and For Great Justice. BR Charged in 3 swings, and after putting that up Sever charged in 2 and Gash and FT charged in 3 or 4. Not only was I able to toss out those skills like crazy, but the combination of 13% armor penetration and all the bonuses of 16 swordsmanship made the auto-attack damage better than with the assassin, and FT was easily capable of inflicting 130 damage. Even against other warriors it did over 100 every time. Against the 60AL target dummy, the bastard was able to kill it in 6-7 seconds.
I Don't know if this means that Warriors always do their job better than anyone else is even remotely capable of, or if Assassins just suck.
A Dagger Assassin can only kill a target in around that time, and they have to rest afterwards. Not only that, the Warrior still has plenty of slots left for even more offense, or a solid defense.

I must be doing something wrong. but i just got completely raped with this build in RA by casters...

Rikimaru can you post your final build please? I am very intrested in it and trying to adopt a axe build based on this. Besides I have a wingblade dying to get out and play! hehe
Rikimaru
That's exactly what I use right now, I'm not sure what you mean.
12 Swordsmanship
15 Critical Strikes
8 Shadow Arts
Hundred Blades
Gash
Flurry
Caltrops
Shadow Refuge
Critical Defenses
Sharpen Daggers
Critical Eye
When I tried out an axe version, I swapped Swordsmanship for Axe mastery (same attributes), changed Hundred Blades for Cleave, and Gash for Cyclone Axe.

Ok sorry, throughout the thread I thought I saw you say something about changing the original build. Thanks again!

Is there a way you can upgrade the dmg anymore on this build b/c i still feel like I can't dish out that much dmg.
Scourgey
Not tested this, but why not try this with the sword assassin:
Sharpen Daggers,
Hamstring,
Wild Blow,
Gash,
Final Thrust,
Flurry,
Dark Apostasy (E),
Spare slot,
Not as much damage, but is fairly consistent with damage. Dark apostasy + wild blow will remove anything any enchant/stance that is preventing you from doing damage. Wild blow with sharpen dagger causes bleeding, so you can move to gash and then final thrust for spike damage.

I don't wish to sound like a noob, but could you maybe replace 100 blades with Palm strike (you don't need dagger to use it) for things like random arenas.
with a 15 in critical, palm strike is good spike damage( I think it does around +80)

Yanman.be
Why Palm Strike? the only good thing at that is that it skips lead/offhand attacks?
Shuuda
Palm strike does more damage, that the single sword attacks.
However I have tested it, 100blades is best
