the idea behind this is simmilar to the death nova bomb idea. but instead of trying to kill your minions you get to keep them alive, yay.
BotM
minions
fiends
fleshy
heal area
zealots fire
rez
open
i dont know the attribut point distribution or if the skill set up works right as my MM is not lvl 20 and doesnt have some of those skills yet. but the theory is to put zealots fire on a minion or two and then just heal them up, has to be a minion or horror not fiend, and they get to stay alive from health and damage enemies at the same time.
dunno if it will work well, but from the little i have done with it it works nice.
MM + some smite
X-DARKFIRE
Nivrax Deathbringer
Death + Soul + Heal + Smite = 4 atribs. Most builds are designed for 2-3 atrib, you won`t have enought points to spare on all (especially you MUST have 16 death to be MM).
Why do you have 3 types of minions? Flesh + Bone fiend (OR "melee" minion) is enought (due to 10minion limit).
Heal area? BotM is absolutly enough to keep your minions healthy, with 10 mana cost you will have energy problems, you can`t even have high soul reaping because of spending points on 4 atribs.
Zealots Fire - don`t test it but I think it won`t trigger on BotM, even if - the fire dmg is so small (and coun`t as elemental, so it won`t go through armor) that cannot even compare to Death Nova (above 100 armor piercing dmg + poison on 15 sec). And remember ZF can be cast ONLY at yourself.
So sorry my friend but this build is crappy.

Zealots fire from what I've heard my from my guild monk procs the AoE runaway.. so... propably wont be as effective? :/
As for PvP.. I agree with Nivrax... Death Nova > Zealots Fire

Hey, try this on for size.
Death 16
Smite 10
Soul Reaping (rest)
Skills:
Golem (Death)
Retribution (Smite)
Smite Hex (Smite)
Blood of the Master (Death)
Taste of Pain (Death)
Death Nova (Death)
It's more a concept, but if you REALLY want to use an MM/Smite, this'd be the way I'd try it. First, get fleshy going. Keep Retribution on him. Sure, it reduces your energy recovery, but considering he'll always be taking damage, it's a nice way to punish those who hurt him. You can use BLood of the master if you really want, but since it's just fleshy, I wouldn't. Taste of Pain is my choice for quick HP when using a death build. Could also bring Soul Feast if you want, but that's risky if your golem is the only corpse in the area. DNova is ofcourse for when fleshy dies (and a nice cover enchantment). I find mesmers love to hex golems. As a mesmer second, I do it myself. It works well b/c golems just keep attacking. So, smite hex punishes those close to your golem when it's hexed.
This is unproven/tested, but if you really want to try an MM/Smite build, that's how I'd start. Empowering your minion is a great way to use it for more damage.

Hidden Prayers
My favorite use of flesh golem is to place Death Nova on it, wait for it's recharge then a quick ToD or two to trigger explosion damage. If the skill is recharged you just bring him back right away.
I'm definitely going to have to try the retribution idea. Maybe even Sympathetic Visage if you're playing N/Me...
