xen of onslaught asking for a monk build in a monk forum?

for the deep you'll want heal party. you'll have to have it down there. and condition removal. hex removal will be nice but i was really busy with conditions. mend ailment and condition would be nice.

draw conditions perhaps? But then, if you're running heal party, you'll already have a bunch of points in healing prayers so Mend Ailment will do I think.

The builds are just personal preference.
----------------------------------------------------------
The build for Mo/X who have no energy problem.

Days before, i was a Mo/W. Since i rarely had problem about my energy or maybe because the team always had BR or BiP. The build was :

Attritute:
Healing 15 (armor+major rune)
Protection 10 (minor rune)
Divine 10 (minor rune)

Skills:
Healing Other
Jamei's Gaze
Healing Seed
Shield of Generation
Healing Parting
Vigorous Spirit
Aegis
Rebirth
------------------------------------------------------------------------
No self-healing, but a monk is not a tank. Stay where you should be, then you will be okay. For some situation, you will get aggro, use Shield of Generation to survive.

If you insist that you will have energy problem and go as a Mo/Me.(Once a team mate just said i would have energy problem as a Mo/W, so i caped MoR and now try to find the real difference.)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The build for Mo/Me.

Change Shield of Generation with Mantra of Recall.

Attributes:
Healing 15 (armor+major rune)
Protection 10 (minor rune)
Divine 10 (minor rune)
Inspiration 7

I used to run a build with no self-heal, but the Oni love to shadow step to me and take their shots. Relying on other monks to pick me up can be hit or miss.

My current, but always evolving, setup:

Dwayna's Kiss
Word of Healing
Sig of Devotion
Healing Touch
Healing Seed
Heal Party
Remove Hex (often replace with Divine Boon)
Rebirth

Max healing and DF.
Kiss and WoH do most of the heavy lifting, but Heal Party and Signet are vital in various areas. Keep puller/tank seeded and use touch for self heal.

Boon probably isn't necessary, but there are some heavy-hitters out there. I've had a tank get 3-hit killed through a non-booned WoH heal and a Kiss (not sure if Kiss beat the death blow).

On the side, I'm done joining groups that demand 4 healers. Got in a big argument earlier in the week with a party leader who freaked out when another monk said he wanted to go prot.
(For the record, I told monk to listen to leader and go heal)
But a (boon?) prot monk removing hexes/conditions full time and chipping in an aegis when handy would help the group a lot more than a fourth healer.
I'm tired of groups designing teams built to get out of the first room (4 tanks, 4 healers, 4 ele or necro) that just get owned in the Leviathan or teleport room. It's like once the 4 squads break out, it's a free-for-all until we die.

i agree with that. i went boon/prot the first time i made it thru the whole way. the other 3 monks were straight heal and had no condition/hex removal. needless to say i was busy as hell for 3 hours.

at the end with the boss a couple in the party questioned me for not bringing heal party and for not being set to heal.....

monks can't win for losing. but i got the axe.

Ive beat the deep many a time using four monks 3 of which use WoH and the 4th Martyr for conditions.

The woh build-
1.Orison of Healing
2.Heal Party
3.Word of Healing[E]
4.Inspired Hex/enchantment(if they need you to take for enchant removal at end)
5.Healing Touch
6.Signet of Devotion
7.Healing Seed
8.Hard res of your choice

16 Healing
10 Divine
9 Inspiration

And the Marty is exactly the same besides the elite and change orison for Heal other so you have a powerful heal still.
