I saw a video of a me/mo farming titans once.. it was a very very slow process and I dont remember the build (it was 55, thats all I remember)... and titans drop armour I think, aswell as magmas arms and stuff

and decent cash? Its been so long since I fought titans ;_;

Titan farming was worth it back in the days when rune prices were high. I managed to snag a Sup Vigor, some Absorptions and Monk runes, which all sold for a nice profit. Too bad Sup Vigor's the only rune that's worth something now.

Here's the build I used:

Me/Mo

Illusionary Weaponry (E)
Protective Spirit
Healing Breeze
Vigorous Spirit
Mantra of Resolve (I'd use Power Return here if you have Factions)
Essence Bond
Balthazar's Spirit
Mending

It's a versatile build which can clear the LA/Denravi area (Ele Titans, Rotting and the Rangers). Resolve is there to protect against Maelstrom, though it's not strictly necessary - just move out of the area of effect when you see it being casted. I recommend Power Return in its place if you plan on taking down Rotting Titans, which casts Lingering Curse. You can also use PR to interrupt Maelstrom if you wish.

LuXa had another Titan build for Hell's Precipice, it seems to have disappeared though. I don't remember it off the top of my head though :/

You can also run:
Me/E ~ This should be faster than Me/Mo posted above.

Stone Daggers
Armor of Earth
Kinetic Armor
Earth Attun
Elemental Attun
Elemental Resistance/Mantra of some element
Aura of Restoration (I think thats what this was, the ele heal)
Power Drain/Return

~Standard Enchanter's Armor
~Point allocation: 12 Earth, 12ish FC, and the rest in Inspiration.

You can easily clear LA/Denravi, if you run Power Return you can also clear the Rotting Titans. Ya... I'd find the link to the multiple posts made for this but search is down.

titans arent really worth farming anymore, their only good drops were runes but with the recent drop in runes prices its just not worth the time. an average run would yield 1-2 rare armors.

I used to farm them with my 55 mes build, using Illusionary Weaponry, Elemental Resistence, and Power Drain.

But, yeah, not worth it anymore.

Which titans do you kill last though? Because you could always leave the Earth Titans till last (with thre Dagger spamming) and use Mantra of Earth instead of Essence.

Can this build also be used for hydra farming?

Standard 55 build, with the 3 mes skills being Illusionary Weaponry, Conjure Phantasm, and Mantra of Flame. Since they hydrae use fire, you get an insane amount of energy. Concentrating on a single hydra at a time, using CP and IW takes 'em down very quickly, and I've got plenty of energy margin to keep PS & HB up.

I was wondering, wouldn't it be more efficient with arcane echo and Shield of Judgement instead of phantasm and mantra? Also, using sympathetic visage so they can't interuppt.

I did not find it to be so. I use Arcane Echo and Shield of Judgement on my 55 monk, but I have 16 smite and that makes all the difference.

Interrupts are *really* not a problem for a mesmer. You've got room to put about 4-5 ranks into FC, so with your sup rune your'e at 7-8 FC, which is *plenty.*

I use a Zealous axe, so I have no energy regen, but I never miss it with Mantra of Flame running. The hydrae hit you for fire damage *a lot.* And at 16 Illusion and my +20% enchanting grip, Illusionary Weaponry lasts almost through the recharge of the skill, and is doing 42 armor-ignoring dmg per swipe. Add the degen from Conjure Phantasm, and hydra die really fast.

I also don't even bother casting HB unless there are 3 or more hydrae on me, the regen from mending is plenty.

It doesn't really matter which one is left till last as the build can 1v1 any Titan without any energy problems. Vigorous Spirit is a very good substitute for Healing Breeze against small numbers of Titans, and against one, Mending is enough to keep you alive.
