Is it still possible to add a GW Prophecies Preorder Key to your Account?

Just bought Factions last night (at the wonderful low price of $29.99 - knew it would start coming down), and the guy working the software isle gave me an old unopened preorder box for GW Prophecies for free. Apparently it got stuck behind a bunch of GW Prophecies games and was forgotten (and is now unsellable).
I haven't tried it yet, but was just wondering if it was still "add-on able" in light of the new Factions preorder.

I doubt it... I beleive the deadline was ~10may2006.

Is this correct? I thought that the deadline was only for being able to save your pre-order characters.

Prophecies pre-order? Man that's old.
Frankly I don't even know what's included in it, but if it has pre-order weapons like the ones on Factions, I don't really see why it wouldn't be still possible to add it to your account.

those do not have an expiration date just use the add a key to the account then do /preorder to get whichever weapon it is

Excellent - it's worth a try. Just wanted to make sure that it would work - otherwise, there's quite a few guys (mostly collectors) that would likely be interested in an unused old preorder box/key.

before you open it remember that the items are not that good and the first thing i do when i create a new character is put my warpick in the inventory trash can for space

At this point the propheceis preorder is for fanatics only, the if it was a faction preorder definitely. I put a fortitude wrapping on my staff and have yet to find one better (which is good news for my warrior).

It will work, it will say on your account that you have access to the beta weekends back in 2004.
The only thing you will get is the special item. I have one that adds a useless monk item and I got that about 2 months ago.

Heh, my daughter just bought a Factions pre-order at Target for a quarter. Last one left. Nice collectable, especially since CompUSA is still selling them for five bucks.

Well, I decided to open it and give it a shot, and I got the wonderful Censor's Icon.
I was hoping for the Ithas Bow or the Canthan Targe (especially since my retailer wasn't one of the primary ones that are usually listed).
Oh well, maybe my Whammo can figure out a way to play with the unconditional 40 health/5 energy it provides (maybe as a switchoff offhand).
