I've read a lot of threads regarding Boon Prot Monks, and I think the overall skillset a Boon Prot Monk should bring into PvP is well established along with its variants. The one thing that I noticed that seeemed hard to pin down was the attribute points that make up the build. I've started this thread with the hopes of fleshing out the att points.
Rules:
1- Based on 200 skill points
2- Tell if you are using runes
3- Lastly why you choose these particular points.
Mine:
(11 + 1 + 1) 13 Divine (10 + 1) 11 Prot 10 Insp
I don't have any superior runes (besides Vigor) and I of course did use minor runes.
I've experimented with using superior and non superior and presonally I have found this to be the best suited for me. I don't like dropping my health in the least by adding superior runes (or even major). Every ounce of health I can have on my Monk is necessary and needed. I've been on the recieving end of some terrible spikes that have left me with under 50 points of health, and I acredit not carrying a Superior rune in divne/or prot to making the difference and leading to my success. Meanwhile I can heal just fine, never seem to run out of energy even if I am facing an edenial mesmer, in which case I am living by my negative energy set; bottom line is the extra heal i get from a higher divine really doesn't seem to translate into energy mangement for me. I think a 10 in insp is a must for the energy returns you get on MoR and IH. I also feel that 11 prot is adequate, I think a ~40% on gaurdian does the job.
Hope this thread leads to shedding a deal of light on the lesser known aspects of the build, attribute points.
What are your attribute points and why?

My PvP boon prot has:
DF - 16
Prot - 9
Insp - 10
In order to max the healing power of boon. My PvE monk only has 14 DF (the other stats are the same) cos I'm too tight to shell out for a superior rune.

I typically use 11+1+1=13 divine, 10+1=11 prot, 10 inspiration or 11+1+1=13 divine, 8+1=9 prot, 8+1=9 healing (Gift of Health), 9 inspiration but occassionally varies if I use different skills.
Edit: I use the attributes for the same reason as you, every little bit of life helps. If it makes a difference, I mostly worry about GvG for my boon prot, so the death penalty plays an important factor as well.
