Wenslauss' Faith vs Kephet's Refuge for boon prot

just wondering, for pve and also for pvp, just between those 2 weapons, which would be better for a divine boon prot monk?

WenFaith is 10/10 on recharge/cast for ALL skills, 10 energy with a +5 energy afterwards and +30 hp

KepRefuge is 20/20 on recharge/cast for all PROTECTION spells, 10 energy with a +5 energy too and 20% longer enchantments

so pretty much only difference is the 10/10 on all and the 20/20 on protection and the 30 hp vs the 20% enchant

which staff wins out? assume i will be using staff head/wrap mods...thinking 30hp/30hp mods kek.

all help appreciated

wenslauss faith by far for one reason...doesn't have the 20% enchant mod that will kill your Mantra of Recall.

Kephet's Refuge (if only to give the other opinion) : garanteed longer Aegis, longer Guardian, ..., and a good chance to recast at expiry. Of course, I use Energy Drain

I use Kehpket's as well, and I also do not use MoR.
Longer enchants are very helpful, and I'm only really casting Prot spells.

I use the Refuge and MoR. You just need to be careful that you don't cast over MoR when it recharges.

since u guys r talking about boon prot and those i don't prefer either. the recharge of wens throws off recall and the enchants 20% throw off recall. i use a+5 energy ^50 wand with 10% fast cast and a prot icon with 20/20 cast and recharge. that way i git more energy and don't mess with recall

You are stuck with the mods already on the weapon. Because of that, I'd suggest you stick both of those +30hp mods on a collector's staff.

Instead of a +5e/10%FCR wand, you might be better off with a +5e sword, and either a +30hp or +5al pommel.

Both are subpar.

If you were to pick one, I'd go for Kephets, however I'd also run E-Drain with it.

I got the impression you thought you could mod green staves, you can not. Just get a collectors and mod that if you were intending to mod the greens.

If you want a close to optimal boonprot, you're going to look for quite a few different weapon sets, staples being Gorbacks set(focus and rod), - energy set(-5 sword and axe plus CoA scroll or -2 enchant +30 health 8+ al sheild, or both, +45 -2 8+ al gold shield is also viable, but less so IMHO - however still worth having), a + energy set, many people use two -1 regen +15 items(one being a focus with +12 energy obviouisly), some use +5 energy sword and a -1 +15e focus. Then a 'normal' energy set, which usualy is a 20/20 staff or +12 energy focus with some bonuses in addition to a wroths rod or a +5 energy weapon. Again, all this is a genralization, based on what most people run for their 'standard' 4 weapon sets.

If you're going for a truely optimal boonprot, you're going to end up with alot more stuff than that even.
