a new term

Has there been a term that shortens 'alliance battles'?

I've heard AvA (alliance vs alliance) but that doesnt really make sense. I made one up though (I havent heard anyone say it yet.)

FvF - Faction vs Faction
Because Luxons and Kurzicks are different Factions!
Sometimes i also say LvK and KvL (Luxon vs Kurzick, vice versa)

what do you guys think of these slang terms?

I think ill stay with AB, tyvm.

AB is too confusing, you never know if someone is talking about amatz basin or alliance battle

I stick with what I called them in FPE :12v12s, although they are really 4+4+4v4+4+4

In my guild, talking about alliance battles is far more common than mentioning Amatz Basin. That would be the reason why everyone knows what AB means. Amatz Basin we just call.... Amatz Basin.

I don't really see Amatz being mentioned too often in these forums either, compared to alliance battles.

Still "looking for people to do alba" is much better than having to whisper if someone is doing AB or AB...X.x

AB is fine. in my guild we all know what were talking about

Everytime someone says AB I think, "Amazon Basin? What the heck?... oh, Alliance Battles!"

But then, I'm a tad slow sometimes.

AB and 12v12 works for my guild.

AB has to be capitalised which is a pain in the ass for my uber lazy fingers..

lol now thats lazy.. my alliance uses AB occasionally WoW players get confused but its all good used to be 12v12 but 5 letters is too much to type for my lazy fingers

not like it has anything to do with Guild Wars, buy AvA is the logo thing for the band Angels and Airwaves, a kickass band

My guildies always say FvF, but if I mention it to anyone else they're often clueless. I just like saying FvF though..

I don't like ava because it's also the used abbreviation for my character name :S And yes, 'doing ava atm' raised some terrible confusion when I first got it in whispers.

I like 12v12, but AB and AvA (capitalize!) aren't too bad I guess.
