Dang.. I was a bit 1 track minded and forgot about that.
Yeah... consider that you can use quite a few combinations of necro skills.
Honestly, I find curses to be the major crossover when I'm using an N/Me. Consider that playing a necro isn't about dealing direct damage, but psychology as well. Sometimes you can use necrotics to force an enemy to do something. That's where it comes in handy. I'll use reckless haste on a warrior then spiteful spirit (SS). The warriors think they're doing well, until they see SS damaging them twice as fast and they're missing 45% ofthe time. I've also used Parasitic bond as a prob spell. So cheap and has EXCELLENT effects.
As far as the psychology aspect, notice that people react differently to varrying hexes and conditions. Everyone ignores parasitic bond. Even I do. Why??? Because the -1 degen is nothing. It's the after effect that people hate. And there's nothing you can do about it, except kill the caster quickly.
Enfeeble causes weakness. Warriors don't run or stop to heal when you have weakness on them. They just keep killing. But, weakness is the trigger for other spells (IE: Vile Miasma or Virulence).
Consider Illusion/Curse build. Use Defile flesh as a followup to the removal of Phantom Pain or Accumulated Pain. Yes, you sacrifice, but consider that that person is now not only 20% weaker due to Deep Wound (HP wise) but can only heal at 2/3 of the normal heal regain from all sources. You've severely damaged their ability to recover in 2 attacks.
I'm sorry, but Blood isn't really a good cross with other skills if you're looking for effectiveness. It works, but there is much more to be gained from using curses in conjunction with something else.
BTW... Death @ 16, equip enfeeble & Parasitic bond. 10pts with a 20 sec window to do 79 dmg every 3 seconds using Discord (death elite) at a cost of 5 nrg per cast. Toss Rising Bile on there, and you have a 120 dmg after 30 sec (if it's not stripped).
Rising Bile is a psychological one as well. not many really pay attention to that skill. I almost always see it ignored and I have seen it removed very few times. What's interesting is how peopel don't pay attention to effects, and I saw a W/Mo remove that hex and kill himself (b/c bile is a timebomb).
People only remove the hexes and conditions that hurt them. I'm sure you can find a much better necro by combining skills and hexes that use curses and whatever more so than using Blood and whatever.
IMO, Necromancers are the deepest characters in GW. They have so many twists and turns that where you think necrotic effects have ended, you find that you've just scratched the surface.
