Ahh, I got ya. Then I would say something like that is needed for fair play if nothing else.

I know what you mean about being taken seriously. The second "some" (not all) PvPers see that you (anyone) doesn't PvP, your opinion is worth nothing. Best fun I've had in a while though was with a group last night. Their feelings were hurt in the end, so I'll not say the situation though. It was a PuG I landed in with a bunch of PvPers flashing rank emotes and saying PvE was easy and what not. I just kept quiet and was there for the mission. The PvPers with the highest rank were the first to fall, the others seconds later. The game play is just so different these days - I don't recall seeing any player skills that can hit for 300+ damage (ele boss) plus degen.
Not saying one is better than the other, just it's different. I go into PvP I'm often the first to drop. /shrug

I think I see where you are going with that, but for pure PvEers, that would mean literally not wanting to gain a reputation within any faction. So we would be losing a possible goal to wrok for as we would be "punished"* for gaining a rep.
*Punished in that we now have to PvP when entering into a town.

But sometimes there is no option. I and many other have limited amounts of time to play within "blocks" of time. I have lots of time, but only in certain blocks. Two hours here, an hour here but they are seperated. If I spend 30 minutes "glf monk" why would I bother playing?

I can only answer this by personal opinion. It's the pace of the game. It's not the fact I really stink at it (and I do). I don't mind getting killed, in fact I find getting spiked rather amusing and often I get a laugh from a good "POP!". I rush all day, every day. When I log into to relax I want a more relaxed game play, and the PvP in GW doesn't fit that. I do, PvP in games like Rome Total War where it is laid back and calm (though I haven't done that, the PvP game, in months... darn GW and Oblivion).

Oh this town is overrun by monsters then we fight the monsters and restore the town, but later the monsters overrun the town again. It's a constant battle.

That would be cool. Random situations where all the players in a town would suddenly be set upon by a mob raid - reminds me of the cool EQ days before it became owned by SOE.

Ahh, like the idea I posted
here ?
Edit: The different districts on hardcore... ok, like the role playing districts being asked for. Gotcha.
