Actually to set the record straight since ya put my name into it, I was right in saying they DON'T drop, because Tyrian skin items don't drop with +5 energy. BUT a few did when they first started with them because A-Net messed up and let a few get by. So far I have seen/heard of about 3-4 brutes (which have been known to drop in Factions, so that's not even just "Tyrian" anymore) and there's about 3 FDS swords that I know of. Last one I heard of selling went for around a mil. So 40k was a steal. So "proof" or not, honestly doesn't really prove anything or you'd have all those skins by now. And I know of tons of big sellers that would back this up.
