End of Whois Information
I think it would be safe to say that the new campaign would be called Guild Wars: Night fall, but I stress the fact that nothing is for certain till it is announced.

Environment: Many rumors are going around that it is some Egyptian type of environment theme. For the most part quotes from numerous online sources such as 1up.com and IGN.com states a similar type of environment viewed at a sneak peak in E3.

Though team isn't quite ready to start revealing details of the game, they were willing to show us a very impressive trailer...

Starting on a rocky beach, the demo focused on a somewhat run-down dock and a massive, swan-shaped ship with sails that looked like dragonfly wings. From there the game transitions to a North Africa style savannah. Green trees, rocky outcrops and gaily painted mud huts decorate the landscape. We soon traveled to a very interesting windmill that had a hawk-like figure on its top.

By far the most beautiful visuals came when we moved to a massive stone city. Decorated with golden minarets and lush gardens, it looked like the perfect place to relax. There's also a magical touch here as some of the plants actually hang in the air. Water cascading down from them into crystal clear pools gave the whole area a really mystical atmosphere.

the new expansion will take place in a North African-themed world. The architecture and locations look inspired by Tunesia, Morocco, and the savannah

Among the new creatures and NPCs we saw dervish-like robed and masked desert people, a bunch of monkeys riding some kind of tusked hippo, and a giant flatworm. Yeah, we want to squash that.

One was an enormous flat worm-like beast rearing up from under the sand that dwarfed the warrior on a horse that fought it. Other creatures included a yak-like ungulant with four horns and a strange alien creature with six limbs that looked like they could do double duty as arms and legs
New Professions: I believe that NCsoft will stick to convention and release two new professions every expansion.. but thats just what i think ...

There were only two sketches of the new professions shown, one being a white robed woman wielding a wicked looking double bladed staff, and an unarmed bald monk-like man, possibly a bare-knuckle combat class.
there is a concept art of the environment floating around on the net.. i have seen it but i can't find it again... if anyone would stumble upon it then please post it.

As for the expansion if they do keep with their 6 month schedule you can expect it in october, but since these things are rarely on time and they would probably find it much more profitable to release in time for christmas. I'd say it would release late november.

Yeah, I've read some stuff on the net about the new installment. The descriptions of the new classes sounds really cool. The bare handed fighter is a class I'd love to play I think!

i hope they release this one soon... they have 110 people split into two teams... 1 team of 55 working on Expansion 2 (NightFall)... and another team working on Expansion 3 ... so i'd like to see the fruits of their labor.. not to mention wanting to kick some ass with new professions...

Well, I'd like to know more about chapter 3 actually, as in, will it be "wow" like Prophecies or only "that's nice" like Factions. If it's "that's nice" then I probably won't end up getting Factions or "Nightfall" but if it's "wow" which I expect it might be to me just because I love Egyptian type stuff, then I'll probably end up getting Factions too.

monkeys riding some kind of tusked hippo

Can I play a monkey instead of a human?

No game is good until it has monkey heroes.

And if they continue the trends of introducing us to a continent just barely hinted at in the first chapter, maybe...

ch.1 = Tyria
ch.2 = Cantha
ch.3 = Elonia?

It's probably been said before, but the Egyptian-themed (or Arabian) area could well be Elonia. That would be neat.

Wouldn't it be Elona, not Elonia? Sort of like Canada and Canadians, Elona and Elonians?

I noticed that they have 110 members divided into two 55 member groups. Mystical number that 55.:P

Also I do have to say that I highly doubt they will release two melee classes, the woman with the bladed staff is obviously melee, and the man with nothing in his hands I hope to god is not melee, but some kind of beastmaster, like a beastmaster ranger although better.

these are my guesses, coz im bored...

double blade girl = i betchya she throws it! some kind of javelin class ranged attacker - sort of like a warrior, but all ranged weapons. prolly called a skirmisher, has mostly shout skills, rather than heaps of stances.

empty handed guy = melee unarmed, but wields 'spirit' weapons or some other conjured enhancement. uses lots of enchantments and onhit effects that interrupt or reflect damage. deals extra damage in the form of 'spirit releases' where after killing a foe, they do some kind of extra damage or effect (speed maybe) temporarily.

Or perhaps it's Elonia. Sort of like Armenia and Armenians, Elonia and Elonians?

I think you're right though, that it is Elona. But your argument was too weak, I couldn't resist.
