wtf is up with the infuse health spell
1 pages • Page 1
i think he means that he is having a glitch in a skill where his health drops but the ally which he targets is not healed... if that is the case then i have not ran into a similar case myself... though i have been getting error7s like 3x a day making it nearly impossible for me to gvg... i hope these errors stop soon because i almost never error7

I think that the health sacrafice is done at the beginning of the spell (much like a necromancer sacrafice spell) and that the healing is done at the end. I've had it happen to me in the past where I press infuse on an ally and the ally dies and I still had lost half my health. I've also observed it in the early part of post searing with the char healers where they go to infuse a char that was just killed and they are conveniently now at half health. That 1/4 second cast time is non-trivial.

1. It's a bug.
2. You're infusing the wrong person without noticing it(I doubt that you're doing this, so we can rule this out I guess).
3. The enemy does lotsa dmg at the same time.
I'm not sure, but I think the health sacrifice is done at the end of Infuse, not at the beginning. Because some times I've interrupted Infuse with pure luck, and the Monk didn't lose any extra health.

I've also noticed this kind of thing happening through regular heals from time to time. I go to heal a warrior that's at about half health or less, cast WoH on him, nothing... cast orison on him, nothing... cast heal other and bam, healed finally.
I'm starting to think that if the person is experiencing heavy packet loss or lagging out, that the heal spells won't work all the time. Unless the guy I was healing had over 1000 health or something.

I've had this happen a few times - i've infused and my health has dropped, but the spike target has died anyway with no signs of being healed. I've asked the rest of my team at the time and they say no-one got a sudden blue figure above their head, so i wasn't infusing the wrong guy.
I always assumed that it was because the health loss triggered at the start, and the heal for the person triggered at the end, and in the 1/4 of a second between those two things the person i was trying to infuse died, and so the spell didn't get a chance to heal them even through it had already taken my health.
However, that does sound a bit implausible...maybe it is a bug?

Definately bugged. Been having similar problems (though rarely) with my boon prot's RoF's and Gaurdian's. At first I thought i was simply that they were potentially taking extensive dmg at the same time I was casting my spells, and thereby canceling out the effect, but as it continued my suspicions grew. I finally noticed that sure enough the target I was healing wasn't even being attacked at the moment the heal was being cast. Perhaps it could be due to lag.
