Although I think this class would rock, it might not only be tough to impliment (programming wise) but tough to play also. But here is the guist of it...

Atributes:

Transformation: Elite to class, each point into this increases duration of transfomations.

Defensive Power: Each point generates resistant spells/ench bonus.

Encomberance: Conditioned skills are enhanced for each point assigned to this attribute.

Offensive Power: Attack Power skills transformed are increased.

Energy Power: Skills based on energy consumption and transfer are based on this attribute.

The attributes for this class are for transformation of abilities points. So say your a SS/N and shape shift to a W/N whatever points you have into each power attribute would translate into the captured warrior you shape shift into, along with his/her skilbar.

As a secondary these would translate into bonus to resistance and attack at a small rate like say 1/16 per point, so if you had 16 points into Offensive power it would increase the corrosponding attribute (say swordsmanship) and would apply only to the attribute that contains the most amount of points... It would be tough to work out as a secondary class though.

If I use the warrior example with an ss secondary and the attribute spread looks like this

Strength: 12
Axe:0
Hammer: 0
Sword:10
Tactics:5
Defense: 0
Offense: 16
Encumber: 0
Energy: 0

The attribute stat change here would be to swordmanship as a +1 bonus.

Gah, anyway, it would be really awesome to be able to clone a monster or party member, but it might be a nightmare to figure out how to work it.. eeep!

I would love a shapeshifter class for chapter 3! I would like it to be able to turn into any thing you wanted (ie. ally, monster, tree, anything).

The trouble is that most classes only have 4 attribute lines.

Warrior with Swords, Tactics, Strength, Hammer and Axe
and Ele with Fire, Storage, Water, Earth and Air are the only 1 with 5, but your likely to only use 2 or 3 of them at any one time.

As with most attribute lines, you should really only spread yourself only so many. Having 5 on a class which could viably use skills from all 5 lines at once makes it severely dissadvantaged / over powered depending on the situation.

There was lot of shape shifter type of concept class out around...

What I don't get is the 4 other attributes.... why such generic attribute are there? They don't seem to server much purpose, beside trying to fill in for a generic jack-of-all trade class....

I love this idea... There may be some things to work on, but a SS would rule in Chapter 3...

I heard that chap3 is an african theme...

I don't think this idea sounds that great. The attribute line is terrible! You should not need to invest in 5 attributes to be effective! Why create a mediocre profession merely with the hopes of some nifty graphics?

If Anet ever were to impliment such a thing as shape changers, I would hope that they would only allow shapes from the pet line or a limited range of monsters. You should not be able to shift to a warrior for instance and gain temporary access to the warrior primary attribute. If you want that primary attribute, make one.

oh, i agree... there should be a limit to what one could shape shifted into, simply due to the fact that the attribute points would be insane to comprehend.

There really isn't an easy way that i can see to make thise class a duel class, like ss/mo, etc.. You would really need to have generic attribute points like i mentioned or just be able to adopt the attribute line your shape-shifting to, which would be an entirely different gaming dynamic. I just thought it would be a cool idea to change form and attributes to fill in, say for a monk or tank whne needed for a group. Having the adaptablity to reform for the situation would be very cool i think.

I was thinking about the current gaming system and being able to fill in the gaps of limiting the shape-shifter to a certain amount of points allowed to adopt. Otherwise you could have a war/ss with so many bonus points in attack it wouldn't make a decent balance to be viable. Since some clasess have 5, they would need to be able to translate those points over when they adopt the class.

Regardless it's a pretty complicated class, but perhaps it could be simplified in a way that would make it playable.
