i've seen information about "unconditional modifiers," that is when you ahve +15% damage from a weapon and have no disadvantage from it at all. i wanted to as a quesiotn about these items. When did they appear? Why was it nerfed? When was it nerfed? are there any of existence right now? if so, how many(lol, if you did an interview)? and How much does a sword, axe, and hammer with unconditional modifiers cost?

just trying to get some informatoin on these mysterious weapons that i've never seen.

thank you!

They only dropped in Beta, if i'm not mistaken. They are most likely the most sought after weapons in the entire game, and i've never seen one come up for sale, or for that matter seen one anywhere, any time, ever.

appered - first 2 weeks of GW release

nerfed - yes because the unconditonal gave an unfair advantage to the user, they were nerfed after 2-3weeks

there is a handful that still exsist, no all are max dmg and not all have max dmg mods ie

there is currently a no condition bow for sell 13% it around 1mill i beileve a 13% no neg longsword sold for 3mill around oct-nov last year

Some of these weapons were the result of a bug on Zealous mods:
A weapon had a +15% dmg, -1 energy regen; adding a Zealous mod should have given a seconds -1 regen, but it didn't, the two neagatives got muddled together and you ended up with -1 regen instead of -2.
Removing the Zealous with another hilt took the zealous -1 away with it, leaving a +15% with no drawback.
...or so I'm told...

They were nerfed as they were unbalanced.

It depends at what you define as existence. If you mean being able to see one in game or purchase one. Then to my knowledge there are 7 of them. One is mine and not for sale and another two I have been told are not for sale.

If you mean on guild wars account and include inactive ones where the owners most probably will never return then I only know of 17 including the active accounts.

Here is a list of all the unconditional weapons I have seen. The ones in bold are ones on currently active accounts. The owners of the others I doubt will ever return

Hammers
14% Warhammer (Magmas Arm Skin) Req 8
14% Warhammer
15% Shining Maul Req 10

Swords
13% Gladius Req 8 or 9
13% Longsword
15% Falchion (Possibly other skin)
13% Longsword Req 11
15% Forked Sword Req 8
15% Short Sword Req 8
15% Short Sword Req 10

Bows
13% Longbow Req 8,9 or 10
14% Halfmoon Req 8, 9 or 10
13% Short Bow Req 8,9 or 10

Axes
14% Double Bladed Axe (Or other name but same skin) Req 12
15% Dwarven Axe Req 12 (Customized)
14% Serpent Axe req 8
15% Sephis Axe
14% Battlepick Req 9
12% Double Bladed Axe req 12
14/15% Cleaver (Customized)

Some of the above skins may be wrong as the pictures were removed as no longer hosted etc so are from memory.

Note I may have missed some which exist. There also may be yet to be discovered ones. Although that is doubtful as it has been a year since they were nerfed.

Um the only hammer on a reasonbly active account is mine and im never selling it. I will most probably customize it for pvp.

The swords 1 million +

Axe i think sold for 2 million

13% longsword I was told is not for sale

14% half moon I was told is not for sale

13% longbow had offers of 1 million but didnt reach reserve.

There are non max ones too which are worth less but still several hundred thousand gold.

I find the history of these items fascinating. And love browsing the old threads looking at them .

You were able to obtain such items in the first weeks after release from the Arid Sea chests. Ofcourse, the chests and the items were soon nerfed but a few people who spent hours running back and forth farming them were lucky enough to get their hands on a few. This is the Dwarven Axe that Zrave got from those chests. He has it customized now though .

Normally like crappy purple dwarven axes already go for ~300k...gold one for 2 mil...how bout a 15% unconditional :| That's probably the most valuable item in the game ever ( unless someone's got a 15% unconditional crystalline :P )

the trade window is the only limit to how much it would sell for. unless you can find an item worth more than a stack then fill the other slots with stacks of ecto. something like an r10 15>50 crystalline whose owner wants 1500 ectos last time i spoke to someone about it.

anyway it was customized >.<

I'll pwn you again, if you look even more carefully youll notice that the shades of black are the result of an open friends/guild window.
