I'm looking to get the Protector of Cantha Title. Im at Boreas Seabed, and i know exactly what to do
*Spoilers*
To kill the Kraken, get a Ranger with Winter, a Nuker, and Spinal Shivers for insane interrupts, along with the regularly scheduled interrupt Mesmer/Ranger. I try, i try, i try, to explain this concept to PUG's, but 5 failed attempts and im frazzled and ready to give up. I say to myself “One more go”. I begin to form a group. This group is coherent. It works. People seem to fit together. I can FEEL master award now, and we haven’t even started the Mission yet! I am torn away from my computer; final grades are mailed home and my parents have got them. I am the group’s leader, and I say “2 minutes, brb”. 45 minutes later I return to the PC. Everybody in my party is gone. I scroll up, and see somebody’s name, and I PM them. This is what I read: “Oh, you were AFK, so we left and made a new group. We got Masters”
I never new I could make such a large dent in the wall, with a mouse…
The vengeful gods or Irony HATE me!

I just finished 10th...I’m a junior now, the hardest year of all. Probably won’t be playing much GW next year, between APUSH, AP Chem and Football practice...ah, the pressure to get into college. The funny part is, I'm pressuring myself. All I do is see my cousins and my parent’s success, and I feel the drive. But in all honesty, Guild Wars Guru contributed to my final exam failure. I spent more time here than I should have.
Interestingly, I joined another PUG. Only two people in it had done the mission before (Me and an Interrupt Mesmer). The remaining three were new to the area. The three not yet mentioned were hench…
We got masters. Irony strikes again.
I swear to god, all of this is true.

Ironic indeed. I didn't really care about getting masters with my warrior on this one. I just wanted to do the mission and move on. I jumped into the first PuG I saw. Standard, "balanced" group. We ran though the mission and got masters. In fact, we clicked so well, we kept going and finished the game getting masters in all the remaining missions.

Well hun school is very important and while getting into a good college is a hassle let me tell you now that it is only going to get harder in college. If you are reasonably smart you will breeze through the first couple of years. My husband is turning down the stretch with about 2-3yrs to go. He HAS to get into a certain fraternity and he can only miss like 2-3 meetings before he is booted. They don't care if your whole family dies, or it gets in the way of a class, you MUST be there! He explained to me that for some reason this Frat means the difference of around 25k extra a year salary (accounting, starting salary of 50k).
He and I have 3 kids and another on the way, he has a tiny job that pays $10hr when he can work it.... Its not easy but it is do-able AND he still finds time for GW! It takes work but I think you will manage. Just remember your grades and life should always come before playtime
And I really do know exactly what you mean about this board... I spend more time posting than I do playing >_<!
*hugs* Good Luck hun!
OH and congrats on getting Masters ^_^ See it wasn't that hard

The Kraken only uses 1 skill and the recharge times of both those skills I mentioned match the recharge on the Kraken's skill perfectly.
I killed the thing using Sever --> Gash --> Final Thrust with henchmen and still got Expert =p

heh I know what you mean cuz spanish can be seriously boring-45 mins of copyin down vocabulary/ conjugating everyday and I could hardly pay attention >.<
lol your thinking way too big. its as easy with henchies as ever. the only problem would be the 3 clans at the beginning but after that its mad easy. *hint* kill Argo FIRST, then after they res him pile him again then continue to the mesmer boss of the turtle clan.
any class can do it right: Kraken is insanely easy. be half mesmer and buy the power return skill (fast casting line)
At the beginning or as soon as able, drop the spear right next to Zu
thats all u need, call targets for the mini spawns of kraken for henchies until you get the supreme spear. run pick it up and then drop rinse and repeat.
and keep power returning the Kraken whenever he uses the jade spell.

If it's any consolation, I lost my Survivor title for my Ritualist in that mission. Of course, we get through the battles with the Luxon tribes (And tear through Argo), yet the members decide to play "Let's Aggro as many Naga as possible" and we all ended up dying. On the plus side, I've run through with it with 5 characters now and gotten Masters each time, so meh.

But then, I never tried this mission with other human players, only with full henchmen teams so far.
