Best Weaponry

What sort of weaponry should I use for my Mesmer, that FINALLY i've gotten his 30 attributes and going to start playign him in Cantha.

I'm open to any all and all suggestins, it doesn't have to be a green weapon. I'm looking for more of the 'What should I look for?' aspect of things. Cause I've already determined that unlike my Elementalist, Offhand-Main is the best combo for a Mesmer, but none the less I am looking for suggestions.

I have 2 main sets :

Illusion wand + Illusion focus
Domination wand + domination focus

There are easily obtainable +30hp, +1(20%) and probably 20/20 focuses, and plenty of good collector wands too.

In cantha there are crafters that will make 20/20 wands and 20/20 foci. There are also collectors that have +5 energy (^50) Wands and +30, +1(20%) foci.

Ah, alright good good. I'll must scan wiki later and check this stuff out so I can attempt to do rather well on the Mesmer.

The more I play him, the more potential I see for groups abroad. Rather sad still no one wants the Mes..

Last I checked there was a +5^50% +20% inspiration recharge item in factions that you could get for beating the game...
/drool the only wand (that I know of...but thats alot of wands) that has an inspiration magic requirement; and its max in every way as well.

Check that one on the "must have" list as it is; special, like denravi in a way.
Ohh yea, denravi, get that (or a mimic...lost 600k on that anet...bastards)
Get the +18 and +19 energy staves in tyria those are good
Get some 20/20 dom primary/focus
-5 energy scroll and -5 sword to go with it

Just off the top of my head, a stormbow would be good too.

Why would a storm bow be good?

Shooting stuff that is out of aggro circle (pulling)
No one seems to have longbows anymore...

Well Eai, why would a Mesmer who doesn't have the best armor in the world, want to aggro things? I mean a Warrior sure, but a Mesmer?

I would go with 10/10 wands (dom and illu) personally as I prefer to mix classes, and 2 focuses of those. Switch wands depending on preference and if you play a heavy dom or illu build and need the certain req. Craft a +5 sword or grab a rare one if you like, or a FFS.

There aren't any inspiration req weapons, ever. There can't be, it's not an offensive class. Might as well have healing attack wands.

I use a 10% global recharge wand, paired with a 20/20 Rockmolder - it's good for any build. The only problem is acquiring either of those items...

You could use prenerf molder with pernerf ffs...

Had 2 denravis...no prenerf ffs...now ffs is truly better or "rare"er of the two...dargit

The +5 energy (^50) wands also have either a Half Cast or Half Recharge Time mod on them as well.

I personally like going with a 20/20 Wand and +30, +1(20%) set, but that's just me.

Actually not to interested in the FFS/Molder.

Everyone wants it, so why should I want it? Is my theory on it.

But, I know that the drawing of the Female Mesmesr (like your creating a character) is holding a sword, I've always pondered if the Denravi Sword was meant for Mesmers..
