Jacqui The Reaver Farming :-)

Thought I'd share my build for farming Jacqui the Reaver, not sure if anyone has previously posted a build on this, I've looked and can't find one.

The boss drops this weapon:

Jacqui's Aegis
+30 Health Always
-2 Damage Enchanted
Req 9 Tactics

I find the boss is verty stubborn with his drops, I've done the run many times and yet to get the weapon, quite unlucky.

Skills:
Riposte
Deadly Riposte
Doylak Signet
Healing Signet
Bonnettis Defence
Shield Stance
Sprint
Grenthes Balance

Attributes:
14 Tactics
Rest in strength

590hp (No Major/Superior Runes, More Health = More damage from grenthes balance when at lower health)

How to Farm the Boss:

Run out of Leviathan Pits, go west until you reach the boss Raveclaw Ragebound, kill him, this mean 2 bosses per run. Hopefully you will get the weapon from him, doing 2 bosses per run reduces the anti-farming code, which I assume kicks in from entering an area too many times.

Then move south west around the group of creeping carps, then go north until you see the boss Jacqui The Reaver, hopefully his group which spawns with either death-hands, assassins, warriors and ritualists will agro a group of creeping carps, if this happens hopefully the outcast will kill all the creeping carps with only 3-4 left, hopefully the deathhand will be dead. when they've finshed fighting pull the boss south, and tank all of the bosses allys. eventually you will kill the bosses ally's, and the boss will be left over. use bonnettis/shield stannce to heal yourself with signet without being interrupted, otherwize use grenthes balance to heal yourself. Hopefully the boss will drop the weapon.

Thanks. Got mine on the 7th run. I found it easier going straight to him (already had reefclaw's) and cutting through the 3 jellyfish things. When I went to kill Reefclaw first, It seemed that the ele boss killed him before I could get to him.

Don't go beyond the instant you can see Jacqi's name pop up when holding down ctrl. His route will change depending on how far you move. Let his group mow over the others in the area.

gee, that grenth's build looks very similar to another one I've seen....

Anyway, good job finding another place to farm.

I got both shields in 3 runs

i got lucky 4x when that bug that caused all the mobs to fight eachother, i did perhaps 12 runs, connected all mobz, and watched jacqui drop like a fly

i even got a green whyts jellyfish earth wand from that levian thingy as jacqui won that fight, so i just aggroed more and he eventually died and got a shield too.

i know how u feel about the drop rate, i tried 30x for the rajazan fervor,

drops rates are still ok...

I am having unfortunate luck. He keeps getting killed before I get there. Has anyone farmed him recently?

Just run straight to the boss, forget about Reefclaw Ragebound.
If you run straight to him, then Jacqui's group will kill a group of Leviathan's. After his group has killed a bunch of Leviathan's, drag the boss back to where I situated him in my photo's above.

If there is more than one enemy attacking you, target Jacqui so you can use Grenthe's on him, and keep using riposte, eventually you will kill all the enemy's which follow Jacqui to you. Once their all dead, jacqui should be easy.

Simply spam ripostes, use bonnetti's just before you use healing signet so you wont be interrupted, use shield stance wheneve rit recharges, and if your in grwat need of healing, use grenthes. The boss should be a piece of cake once his ally's are dead.

The key is to have sprit of failure + reckless haste on the boss before he gets to you. Then you can price of failure, SS and SV. ALWAYS have distortion up. With spirit of failure your distortion shouldn't cost you anything and you should get a net increase in energy.







Oh yeah.. the -3% dp was from me forgetting to spam distortion while fighting reefclaw.

Lastly, you should be able to 55hp iNecro Reefclaw with zero issues. Jacqui is probably a no go on the 55hp unless you're able to kill of all the assassins and deathhands in his posse.

Should i put any points in Swordmanship?I got all my AP in Tactics(14)and Strenght(13) and no pints in Swordmanship.Im askin because the author didint state that!If i meet the req of my sword(req.9 Sskai sword)i will do decent dmg versus outcasts when they fight with leviathans.If i put all points in tactics and strenght i will do much more dmg with ripistes and dolyak+shidls stance will last longer.What do u guys think?
And 1 more thang-if an enemy helps me kill Jacqui do i still get the shield or do i get nothin coz i had help?

personaly i replace GB with glads defence. it kills off the assasins very quickly, and helps me to stay alive a bit longer.

Glads Defence?What for?GB does the trick very good!When i pull all em "survivors" with Jacqui i simple put on dolyak and ripostes until those dudes drop my HP to ~100HP and then i use GB.Because i use Platemail armor i get half of my energy drained.But i still got enuf adren for bonetti.I slap on bonetti,recharge my energy and use heal sig.After that i simply use ripostes with shield stance when it gets really hot.

if an enemy helps me kill Jacqui do i still get the shield or do i get nothin coz i had help?
