Hmm, the runes don't appear to be working...

Ok, i just traded with this guy in my pve character for 1 major rune of fire magic and 1 minor rune of energy storage. However, it doesn't show up when i go to create my pvp character. Whats going on? Do i have to do something else to unlock it??

Yeah just getting the runes doesn't unlock them, you have to get a salvage item with the rune. Otherwise you could just buy all the runes from the rune trader and you'd have all the runes unlocked.

You don't need a salvage kit, what you need is an identification kit, to "unlock" the item on your PVP char.

You can't unlock runes by trading them or buying them from "Rune Traders"
You can only unlock runes by finding them or buying them from a "Priest of Balthazar".

Yes you can do that. However, you should remember that they're their if you Re-roll the PvP character other wise they're gone when you delete it.

This is utter non-sense. You can trade unidentified runes and armor to unlock them.

If you're wanting to unlock runes you can:

*Identify colored armors then salvage the rune out. (Unpredicatable results on the resulting rune.)

*Salvage it first so you have an unidentifed rune. (Doing this narrows down what you'll be unlocking. Good for not wasting it on yourself, but to give to others ^_^)

*Or just PVP till you got enough faction to unlock through Priest of Balthazar. (100% Guarantee you get what you want duh)
