how do yuo go to guild wars from guild wars faction ?

Well, first you have to own the first Guild Wars offcourse 
But when you want a Canthan Character to go to Tyria you get the quest Chaos in Kryta in Kaineng Center, just follow that quest and you'll end up just outside Lions Arch. (hope I got the name of the quest right)

Go to Kaineng Center and look for the quest "Chaos in Kryta". Do that quest.

Im having problems.
I havee both factions and prophecies.
Like 2 weeks ago I bought Factions. I install it without having Prophecies installed on my computer. Do I need to install Prophecies first then install Factions for this to work? Because I can't seem to be able to travel back and forth as I please.
Help appreciated.

First of all is both Prophecies and Faction cd keys connected. YOU can install either one but won't be able to travel UNLESS both cd keys are connected to one account.

If you have a 6 slot account, then you can travel from Cantha to Tyria and Tyria to Cantha freely, but if you have two accounts of 4 slots, you can not. After you have completed the quest to go to the other world, you can just click on the boat icon, and that should be able to take you to the other world.
