Who cares if it's a white weapon? It's the same max damage...

But anyway: The usual mods would be a perfect pommel of fortitude (+30 HP) or as close as you can get. Possibly you might want a pommel of defence (+5 armour) which i think would be cheaper. Then for the prefix mod a lot of people would go for a perfect vamp (3/-1) although personally when i play sword in gvg i often go for zealous (1/-1). I mean, of course depending on the build you play you could put any mods on it - cruel, furious, sundering, etc etc but the standard 'perfect sword' would probably be a 3/-1 vamp and +30 hilt.

That's gonna be expensive to do, though. And if it's a no mods white sword then it's never going to be worth if you want to sell it what it cost you to put the upgrades on. Finally, it's never going to be the 'perfect sword' because it doesn't have it's own inherent perfec mod - the 15%>50% damage mod (or 15% enchanted or in stance). That's not something you can add, you just have to find a sword with it already (and it would be a gold then).

You should just check the weapons from weaponsmith in kaineng.

While the typical setup is vampiric or zealous + +30 hp fortitude.

But in the end, it really depend on your build. Personally, I have at least 3 weapons of the same kind on each character, and each modded differently.

I really really really need that storage update.

Well yeah, i pointed out that it'll have no 15 over 50 at the end. But still, if you're more interested in tanking than damage i guess you could still make a perfect sword from it with the right mods.

I say who cares about it being white 'cos my pve warrior actually has an unmodded white fellblade, just 'cos i like the look

I don't really care that i don't do xx% extra damage...it's pve, i'd never notice.

thanks for replys so i see what is needed to build the perfect sword for me it's 1 of 2 so i have the vampiric and fortitude and zealous and fortitude. looks like a of money might have to go into or just a lot of searching to find what i need.

The sword is worth less than the mods you intend to put on

It is a bit like putting a rose on a pile of toxic cow dung..

i know that now. im going to find a better clean max dmg sword green or gold and then mod it to perfection.

(by perfection one that is best for me)

Greens come with perfect mods and bonus' (except some of the new factions ones :/) and cannot be changed at all.

Buy a crafted katana for about 8-10k. It'll be light blue, but it will be req9 and have the damage mods you want (15^50 for example) THEN you can put your nice mods on it and not feel much remorse later. =)

I think Vermilion brought up an excellent point. IMO, there is no "perfect weapon". Yes, the vamp/zealous/defense/fortitude mods are the most frequently used, but they won't necessarily make a weapon "perfect".

You'll find yourself in many different situations in GW and there are many different weapon mod combinations that will work better than others for each situation.

Personally, I have a pile of differently-modded weapons and offhands for each char...and the majority of the weapons started out as collector weapons.

Peruse the site to see more thoughts on damage modifiers and their effectiveness, and just play around with a few different combinations until you find some that work well for your style of play.

Agreed. Get yourself a katana from a weaponsmith, then put whatever mods you want on it. The Kaineng Center smith has the 15^50 ones mentioned above and they only require 6 steel and 40 iron to craft, with a fee of 5k gold.

If its doesn't have conditional damage its not perfect.

an costumized white weapon does more dmg then an un costumized 15^50..remember that

^ Yup, I am always entertained by people who demand perfect 15^50 weapons only to not customise them and get the extra damage xD
