It is very annoying not being able to see who in the alliance is on-line. There should be a feature that allows people to see the rosters of the other guilds of the alliance or, at least, leaders and officers.
Any comments about this?

I think it might be a Lag issue.
Perhaps if we have a numerical format of members online and another seperate one for if the leader is online it will work?
10X 100 members /guild = 1000 people in an alliance max
1000 queries for whether people are online... PER person would kinda kill the servers.
If it queries the guild data, and the guild has the data as "Members online" and "Leader Online? Yes/No" then it would be simpler.

How about a button next to each guild that opens its roster? That way it won't be loading all the time, only when you click for it... Still, the character names are supposed to be the keys in a hash table, so the access cost is supposed to be O(1). Than means that it might not be as bad as you describe it.

this is a good idea, I'm so tired of looking down a long friends list all the time. Besides the fact that I can't always remember who is from which guild, who is an officer etc.

I agree.
My flist right now is completely full, and there's no way we can keep track of all the characters for each and every alliance member's account, it's just impossible.
If not do this for all members of the allied guilds, then at least do it for Leaders and Officers, and have it like a drop button, where you can click on a guild name and it will show the roster, or part of it.
I think it's a really good idea, and would be incredibly useful, especially for big alliances.

i have thought about this for a while and just now getting around tosee if what i think is what others think. Because i ran out of friends space but my alliances grow. Lame not knowing who is in the alliance and who is on.

Yeah it would be nice. Or even just a number would be appreciated, maybe underneath the guild name say something like "20 online".

be nice to at least see an ammount of alliance members on or at least the names of the online members
and i thought the rosters and such were on a seperate server... most games are anyhow... so its time to impove it... should have been done on the release of the alliances

good idea though it may be diificult to implement without some sensitivity issues as well. But useful overall.
