solo UW farming

I was searching a topic on monk uw farming but most of them require that u have a necro teammate. I was wondering if uw solo farming with monk still productive (that is, gives good exp and gold) and if so, how much do u typically make per run? Was also wondering if all the old solo uw builds still effective (I wonder if anet decdied to nerf them). Also, can someone please post the newest effective monk solo build. I saw a monk solo uw build but it was like from 2005 so i wonder if it has been nerf. Hmm the serach button seems to be currently diabled now, does this always happen?

Yes, you can solo it.. i don't know how, but it can be done. I can't find a link yet, sorry.

And the way it was done in 2005 (with balthazars aura etc.) cant be done anymore, because monster AI recognizes AoE spells now.

Not The Fastest but these will get you up to the smites, I've never been past them with these builds.(these are older builds, might be beter ones out there) Its much faster to go as a 2 man team you can get more runs in and make more money.

Hi...I have been soloing the UW with a 55 monk since basically the beginning, these are the things you should consider. 1) It takes me approx. 1 hour to completely kill all smites and all cows...I very rarely die and very rarely even have SoJ interupted, but I have been doing this for a long time now.

2) I have also done many runs with a nec...they can be done in about 20 mins., if the nec is a pro (which many pugs simply are not). So, although this is faster, unless you know the person and enjoy their company, IMO it is not worth counting ecto drops and even hoping that the nec splits with you...cause we have all heard the countless stories where either the monk or nec will not split the drops.

Anyways, I hope this helps...one more thing, 55 monks are so versatile that it is definately worthwhile having one around, especially since all it means is an extra set of armor...good luck
