The Ultimate Mesmer farming build

i thought this up a few months ago... i have quite a few builds ive invented, but while this remain's untested, im guessing it will be my best...

this build is property of me and guild [MMD]:

armor: i don't know, whatever you want, probably energy boosting.

Mesmer/Monk (this is a 55 build)

weapon : assassin daggers (dmg doesn't matter, whichever kind are fastest (dont' know too much about assassin weapon differences))

attributes:
build is untested so don't know these, just need high points on healing, prot, and the attribute illusionary weapon is based in.. i think its illusion magic.

skills:
usual 55 set
healing breeze
prot spirit
balthazar's aura? (never used a 55 build)

mes skills:
this is key! illusionary weapon
you can if you wish throw in other defense stuff like distortion, but mostly the rest of the skills are yours to play around with for dmg dealing purposes


pretty much this build is simple. like a 55 necro uses 55 monk skill set to stay alive but just adds Spiteful Spirit, the 55 mesmer uses monk skill set, then adds about 120 dmg a second in dagger attacks. at max illusionary weapon does 35+ dmg per strike, and the dagger attack rate should boost this to pretty speedy attacks.

like i said, this is untested, and obviously things like the 55 necro are faster at killing groups, but i i think as far as mesmer farming builds go, this should be sweet.

If daggers are 2 handed, you can't have 55 hp, that's if they're 2 handed

well if ur gonna make illusion weapon u got a problem because firstly ur gonna have to add a divine boon to the line up for wen u get those big packs and regen just aint enuf.

secondly illusion weapon only attacks one target. no aoe gonna take long.

Divine boon is worthless; divine favor on the other hand is useful on a 55 build.

a Mesmer cant get the DF bonus... So something like Boon or Even Vigorous spirit (should add life when you cast a spell) will help if ur going to tank large groups..

Also, to clairfy, without points in dagger mastery, daggers have the same attack speed as swords.

Mesmer 55 farming, that is

I could always edit it to add in oldschool me/x farming with sig of midnight... but that was no faster and required alot more luck. Plus it couldn't really get past aatxes

any1 managed 2 amend and try it?

No reason to; as much as I would I do not believe I [nor anyone] can best Avarre's guide on the subject. I could write a guide on interrupts but no one would agree with my preference, I could write a guide on kiting but no one would agree on the profession, I could write a guide on...seems he got the only topic >.>

Thought about doing some research on character animations to find out if there is a way to "predict" spell usage...need another computer though.

anyway, if sword speed is indeed the same without dagger mastery (havne't played enough factions to know) simply amend with sword + - 50 health energy icon, giving you the desired 55 health and keeping the attack rate high..

i understand this does not have the aoe potential of say a 55 necro, im only submitting this is a farming build someone who has a primary mesmer and wishes to farm with it can use.

the ultimate was used to inspire interest, it could very well be there is a better one, but i haven't seen one, therefore in my limited experience it is "the ultimate"

Avarre's solo mesmer guide it was like my Bible. When I first read it, it was like "ZOMG" it totally makes sense. The best thing about it was that it also came with videos. Not only that it was shot in UW.

I wasted a minute reading this thread
