i'm wondering what happened with the old armors update? old fow/15k pyro/aero/et cetera sets are complete crap compare to post-factions sets, old rogue armor still has this energy penalty... why we have to be penalized for being long-time clients? it's been few weeks and still there was no armor update....
what happened to old armors update?

I don't really get it either... I ended up salvaging my old 15k armor already and getting a new 15k set with the better stats. It just bugs me to wait for something for so long, and realize it may never happen. So, I'm out of 60k plus materials and rune costs... but at least I got to upgrade, expensively.

"Realize it may never happen." Dead wrong. It has been stated many times that they are working on it. I would expect it would be done within the month at the latest. A long time to wait, I know, especially for a very competitive PvP player or a warrior.
Honestly though, for a lot of casting professions, it isn't a huge disadvantage, especially for eles, to have the old "worthless" armor, especially for PvE. Eles in particular, if you really NEED that +10 armor verses all elemental damage so badly to survive in PvE, learn to stay in the back of the group and let the tank handle aggro. I used collector armor the whole time with my ele (over 1 mill exp) with no armor bonus, and was fine in PvE. And when factions came out I just got the archmage set.

You prolly wouldn't need to fill up 4 slots to do it either, just two perhaps. For practicality's sake you could probably do fine with just the chest and legs.

Luckily I so rarely play warrior that I haven't bothered to do it, but I did so for my monk.

What I don't understand how a situation like this has come to be in the first place. You'd think the items would be upgraded automatically when the Canthan counterparts appeared, or the upgrade NPC would be available right away.
Well, I don't have any of the 'affected' armor so I don't really care, but it's just odd. Didn't they think of the old armors until someone pointed it out after launch? :P
