Thanks, I do something similar with my necro now:
* no hex removal (not needed)
* no condition removal (not needed)
* 2 Heals
* Bane Signet (cheap dmg with some points in Smiting)
* Awaken the Blood
* Faintheartedness
* Desecrate Enchantments (for Zarnas Stonewrath)
* Spiteful Spirit
I get myself killed by the first group of Wardens on the way to Craw, get resurrected behind that group and then go to kill Craw like the OP. Then I proceed with Zarnas, the only crucial point with both is: stay behind a wall so they don't hit you with attacks.
Craw does even use his saccing spells much earlier if you do some more dmg to him, e.g. with SS.
Got 2 Stonereaper, two of Zarna's Wands and half a dozen golds so far.

Kudos to the OP for the ingenious run.
Another possibility : as a MM (standard build, with Flesh Golem), I pick Lukas as a henchman. I get Lukas killed by the wardens, raise my flesh golem from him, which is enough leverage to kill wardens (death nova golem, 2nd raise should see some enemy death, downhill from there).
Don't res Lukas, and go fight Craw with Flesh Golem + 4 Vampiric. Spam BotM (you may need a slight self heal), he should go down in ~2min. With Lukas dead and far away, I think you're basically solo for loot attribution. Worked for me, but that might be dumb luck.

Nice build-got 2 in about 15 runs. Something strange though-did about 10 runs last night (got staff on run 7 or 8) and then quit. Went back this morning and did 5 more runs. I got the staff right away and then on the next run got the anti-farming message.
This is confusing because I did not get that error last night after doing more runs, and before I did any runs this morning I was duoing UW for about 3 hours (lousy ecto drops). I wonder what, if anything, I did different to trigger the farming code?
I did 2 runs after i got the farming message and got nothing-not even gold.
Thanks again for the nice build.

Throw Dirt does instead help if your touching him.
My build is simple.
Vamp Touch
Vamp Bite
Plague Touch
OoB
Whirling
Throw Dirt
Troll (I only get +5, but thats all you need)
Dodge
No need to die at the wardens. Hit Whirling, and setoff all the traps quickly, tap tab and P Touch crippling off (luckily its the bottom condition, so its removed before bleeding), and hit dodge to run through them. You usually get through with like ~200 HP left if any of them luckily hit you. This is where Troll comes in, you still have bleeding on you for like atleast 10 more secs, so so Troll is to counter the bleeding degen so you don't degen to death (thats why troll doenst have to be good). Alternatively, you can just P Touch the bleeding off too, but at the risk of getting hit a few more times by the wardens.
When you regen back to full health, run up to Stonereaper and Throw Dirt on him, Vamp duo and OoB as needed until Throw wears off, then put your newly recharged whirling up. Now if he isnt stuck on a pillar (like he is 90% of the time) he may activate the aoe nerf and run from whirling damage, just move within range and commence touching. If he outlasts Whirling (which he might because of bond), look, and if he is about at ~33% health, just let yourself fall below 50% health right quick, and he USUALLY will sac himself to death with Defile+Lingering.
----------------------------------
Like others of posted, Stonereaper has a GOOD CHANCE of having "Nothing" as a drop - No Gold, No Scrolls, No Nothing. Just...Nothing. This doesn't mean you hit anti-farming code - Nothing is just one of his common drops. He also drops: All Scrolls with some commonness, Gems - like all things made of stone he has a semirare chance of dropping saps and rubies, Stone carvings and remnants, and necromancer weapons.

When I go to touch ranger stonereaper, I don't even take the time to regen after the wardens. I usually let my bleeding take me down to about 250ish health and run up to him throw dirt, wait until he uses defile flesh or whatever sacrifice, then just start touching him. Then after blind comes off I let him take me down to about 200 hp use whirling, let him sacrifice again then finish him off. It usually goes faster from his sacrificing, and you can plague touch the bleeding off you as soon as you get to him even though he doesn't bleed.
]Is it possible to do this with Smiting? If hes part Necro (which I am somewhat
sure he is) wouldn't he have far less armor against Holy Damage
I'll have to find out if this does work. I'll edit my post if it doesn't.
EDIT:
Well, I got it.
Unfortunatly, he doesn't take extra damage from Holy Damage.
But, I did exactly what everyone else did and it worked. Except I put Banish in and used Ray of Judgement when he was about to die.
*Note* Until I figure out how to make images bigger you just have to belive that I got the weapon.

im having problems with this.. i think it may be lack of energy, but i cant make it through. i die really fast. i do get him to about 1/4 health though.... the only difference is i switched balanced for holy stike...... my smiting is maxed, and i gain 107 for the sig, and 57 from orison. but i find at the end that im frantically casting both to try to get back up above 100 health
