Need help with Ritualist

I bought Guild Wars basically when it came out... gave it up for a bit and recentley got back into it. My brother bought factions expansion as hes into it too now.

He went for the new Assasain like most people and I thought I would try a Ritualist as they looked cool and not many people were choosing them to my view atleast. (I also have a Monk level 20 etc)

Just wondering what second profession or build I should use at the start? What should I put my skill points into etc...

Any help would be appreciated, so far I have just been putting them into summoing and communicate or what that skill is called.

Thanks

Take a look at the build directory. It's a sticky in this forum. Also, the build posted in the Ritual Lord thread is a nice one too.

Those should give you some guidance as to what you'd like to do w your Rit.

JoeKnowMo is right, you should look at builds for the Ritualist as to what seems to work.

I have a Rit/Nec lvl 20 and I like it. Its good for several reasons:

MM - My main reason for picking Necro. Spawning increases health of summoned creatures (including undead minions)

Corpse denial - the only class that can remove corpses from use

Getting into groups - Man groups want MM or healer, this combo does both

Another popular combo is Rit/Mo. People want to have a massive healling build.

Some people choose Rit/Ranger. The Ranger's defense and movement abilities are what the Ritualist lacks. Ranger's Spirits are also affected by Ritualist's Spawning ability

There are other combinations, but these are the more popular ones that I know of.
