I'm a little confused. The last missions I did were Arborstone and Boreas Seabed. Since then I've traveled to Aspenwood, Cavalon, Jade Quarry,Bai Pasu, and Eredon Terrace. I can't seem to figure out how to get to the next mission. The Hatchery is blocked off to me, and the guy there says to talk to Elder Rhea in Cavalon. I've even tried going to her with 10,000 Luxon (red) faction points like some have suggested, but she doesn't give me any option when I speak to her.
My character is a monk from the Tyria campaign, is that the problem? Do I have to lose the 500 Kurzick faction I have? Or is this game buggy? Thanks.

After arborstone and boreas, you need to go to maatu keep, get the next Primary quest and continue on to the Sunjiang District mission. Only after that will you be able to access HzH and Cavalon.

I think he's already done that mission as he has seen the locked gates of The Hatchery. My guess is you already did the 10.000 faction quest and now have a mission to rescue a couple of eggs and deliver them to The Hatchery. The eggs are south of either Bai Pasu or Eredon (the one fartest to the west).

Estic, he must have missed Sunijang District, it's possible to get into Cavalon without doing the mission, but you won't be able to get further in the game.
So, anyway, Hamstring, go do the primary quest from Zos Shviros Channel, and the one from Raisu Palace, then do Sunjiang District and visit Maatu Keep, there will be 2 primary quests there, one to get to Cavalon, one to HzH.

It is? hehe... never knew that, I thought you had to talk to some guard to get through to Cavalon and he refused to let you in if you hadn't done Sunjiang. Oh well, a day you learn something is never wasted

It's quite easy I've done it once by mistake while exploring boreas seabed....
Just go to the explorable, hug the west wall till ya enter mount quinkai, from there, go to the outpost south. From the outpost, go thru the other exit, then a few steps north east and you're in Cavalon

Just a followup in case others were wondering. I ran out to Sunijang District and the bridge was drawn up and wouldn't allow me to pass. The guard said to go to Zos Shivros and there would be someone there with a royal summons. Well I went there and there was no green '!' around. So I traveled to the Royal Palace near Kaineng city, and the guy in the throne room area (or whatever) had a quest for me to escort people to Sunijang. I guess I must have missed some key dialogue somewhere.

Many many people lose the main thread at this point... I read everything and I skipped it on accident my first time through. Like you I had garnered 10k Luxon faction before doing sunjiang or even knowing it was there.

I had this problem with my assassin.
I even had my guildies try to figure out what the problem was.
As it turned out, there's one quest that Emporer himself gives you the reward. (I think this may be the first time you actually see the Emporer, not just his Hand.)
If you don't read through the Emporer's talk, you'll miss that he wants you to talk to his Hand. (The Emporer's Hand DOES NOT have a green "!" above him, that's where I got lost.)
So maybe try going back to Raisu Pavilion and speaking with the Emporer's Hand.
